This is embarrassing but I'd love some input. I have prescription shampoo ketoconazole, as well as the ointment. I also have the stronger steroid for very occasional use (it can thin skin out). It is really hard to apply these ointments to my scalp and tha is where I have a couple of very persistent patches of excema (the thickened, crusty buildup). The ointments and shampoo aren't that effective either, they work fine on my elbows or other spots, but they do not seem to work as well on my scalp. I will discuss with my dermatologist but curious if anyone else has excema that is more persistent on their scalp (or just harder to treat!). Any tips or recommendations?
