My Silky pups, a Beefeater martini (2 olives) and a good book! Life is beautiful!

In the car, music and me singing to the top of my lungs.

At home, music and dancing until I'm sweating.  I'm usually laughing by then.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

Deep breathing.  You can teach yourself how to do it from Dr. Weil' you tube video.  Once you learn it you can do it anywhere.  It works!

I bury my face in my dog's coat.  He tolerates it and I appreciate that.

My stress relievers are: venting out loud (at home or in my car) to no one in particular, having some time alone with a cup of tea or glass of wine, going for a trailride on my calm gelding.

I don't really have any stress to speak of, never been one to worry about things. To relax, just to relax? My furry kids and Southern Gospel Music does it for me, in days past, running and ice skating.

I find John's comments interesting.  I would find the health challenges he and his wife

face very stressful! Attitude is everything!!

@wonderfulworld

I think I should clarify what I said in my other post. For me there are 2 words that have "similar" meanings. One word is stress the other is worry. For me they are not the same.

When my wife passed out on me a home, twice, and I had to call 911? I was scared for her and very worried that she would be alright once they found the source of her problems.

I did not feel "stress", as to me, stress is something that builds up in some people over time. To me it is accumulative, unless people have a way of releasing it regularly. Now I was certainly worried about her until the source was found and repaired, in both instances. Stressed? That is not something I felt or considered to be in at any time.

I have stated on this Bulletin Board many time. In my serious health issues, along with those of my wife. My best friend has always been "optimism", or similar to what to you said.

"Attitude is Everything", and I thank you for your post.

Piano music.  I enjoy music performed by talented musicians, but when it comes to relaxation, it's the piano for me.
