@Hooty

You are welcome.  I recall  that you love owls and thought you'd be interested in viewing a nest.  Enjoy.

I've been viewing the  April giraffe cam and the Hanover eagle's nest.  They're both so neat and hard to leave.

@Keeper of the koi

Don't know if it's the same, but here's one of Explore.org's - a long-eared owl nest cam.

Enjoy.  8)

The Barred Owl nest cam is up and running for this Spring. She has 3 eggs already. I've missed "my" owls. Wish the Great Horned Owls in Savannah had come back to their nest. Ospreys have it, but I've got a Great Horned Owl nest cam to watch that's in Montana.Cat Very Happy

I think hooty would love to have this information. Hope she sees this post in the event she wants to check out the owl nest cam(s).

Anika, You are probably right about Hooty enjoying the Owl nest cams. The address for the Barred Owl in Indiana is

http://cams.allaboutbirds.org/channel/43/Barred_Owls/ .

I hope she sees this or anyone who may be interested. The eggs were laid March 5, 7, and 9th, Should start hatching around the first week in April, maybe the 5th???

Mom heard a call, howled a few times, then flew off.

Now she's back.

@Keeper of the koi   It's nice to meet up with another owl lover.   I have been following the Barred Owl nest  in Indiana for at least 3 years, maybe more.

I also followed for years the Great Horned Own nest near Savannah, GA.  It was my favorite but this year the nest has been taken over by a pair of Ospreys.  I follow Ospreys too and some hawks.  There is a Great Horned Owl nest cam in Montana and also in Montana a Long-eared Owl nest.  They are all awesome to watch.

In the winter I watch feeder cameras and in the summer,  the Brown Bears at Katmi in Alaska.    I could do nothing all day but switch back and forth between the various sites and one I almost forgot that isn't active right now, is the Shark camera off of the Outer Banks of NC.

I'll list some links below for you to try out, one leads me to another!!! Cat Very Happy

On the last site if you scroll down a bit you'll find all kinds of cameras for all kinds of birds, animals, fish, whales.   Some are active and new and those at the very bottom are off line for now.

This is where I find the Katmai Bears at Brooks Falls.   I have a favorite bear there.

Hope this helps you find some owls to watch.
