Animals posses the amazing and beautiful ability

to love unconditionally...a trait that the supposedly

more highly evolved Human race doesn't.

Re: THE SIDEWALK CAFE IS OPEN FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON

@AnikaBrodie and everyone,

I wanted to reach out to you specifically and let you know that I love when you post what "National Day" is being celebrated.

Gum drop day, acts of kindness day etc.

I personally feel everyday is a celebration.

A special poster used to post everyday about this subject.

I miss her posts and often wonder what happened with her.

Thank you for sharing your brother's birthday in heaven with us. I speak only for myself, but I wonder if this doesn't bring us closer on the Sidewalk Cafe.

Blessings and hugs ❤️

Cindy,   Love Dale Chihuly's amazing glass artwork.  The above art work is on one of the ponds at Shaw's Garden, aka Missouri Botanical Gardens.   They remind me of floating onions.

One of the last exhibits Charlie and I went to see was a beautiful display of Chihuly's work at the St. Louis Art Museum.  It was so different from the many exhibitions at the museum.  Beautiful, colorful, some bizarre, imaginative, just an amazing collection and fun to see.

I do love watching glass 'blowers' do their amazing creations.  There was/is a person in Islamorada(Keys), who makes beautiful paperweights, and other ocean/fish inspired objects.   I bought one of his paperweights, kind of a 'reject' meaning a price I could afford.  It's a large teardrop or ovate shape with seafans, fish, shells in it, all glass.  I love it even though it's not perfect.   I am still fascinated with the paperweights from Italy that look like rock candy on the bottom of a glass dome.  They are made in Murano, Italy.  Somewhere at home I have a small one that I got as a child,  guess by now it's an antique, like me!!!Cat Very Happy

Re: THE SIDEWALK CAFE IS OPEN FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON

Good night!:

This duckling is doing what I'd like to be doing, taking a nap.   It's warm and sunny out, though a few clouds are hanging around.   It's more humid than it's been which should help the firefighters beat down any more flare ups of the fires that destroyed homes a bit east of here.  We didn't get much rain over the weekend.   Need a lot of it.   Strawberries are still being picked and the Strawberry Festival is in a few weeks.

@possummink

Thank you for posting the Chihully glass work. I see different displays all the time.

I'm happy to hear the strawberries are growing well in Florida, since California has been receiving so much rain.

Somewhere I read National Strawberry day will be celebrated soon.

Does your son make strawberry pies or something special?
