I got a nice surprise this morning my 2 backyard friends brought the "kids" today!  I didn't see them for about 2 weeks...now I know why!!!

They were busy welcoming the new babies!

We have several kinds of egrets and herons that visit the creek and lake behind our house, they're so much fun to watch!

OMG - I had never seen a sandcrane up close - just hear them waaaaaay up in the sky with their shrill sound - thanks for sharing!

The nice lady who lived next door used to feed the birds and the sandhill cranes were so tame they would eat from her hand. Anyway, she sadly passed away , so we haven't seen them much.
