Shabbat Shalom and Happy Weekend to ALL Friday June 19

[ Edited ]

Welcome to the NEW QVC Forum.  I hope you will all find your way here so that we can share a bit of our time together every Friday.

Shabbat Shalom to all the "Shabbos Shvesters" who observe, and a happy, sunny weekend to all.

It seems that we've been hearing many sad and troubling stories lately regarding health and family issues. May these problems all be resolved.

May all your loved ones be healthy, but if they are ill, may they soon be well.

May your burdens and worries blow away with the wind.

To those of you and your family with health issues, may everything turn out well. May your medical tests and those of your loved ones come back with happy results. May your medical treatments be successful and may you live a long and happy life.

Sending prayers of healing and strength to you and your loved ones.

Many prayers for our country's well being and world peace. The terrorists are invading like roaches, and must be stopped! May our leaders who keep our country strong find the wisdom, courage and strength to make the right decisions for our security and well-being.

Prayers to the survivors and loved ones of the nine people who were murdered while worshiping at their church. May this never happen again.

Good thoughts and thanks to our military. May they come home safely and SOON. Bless all the servicemen that didn't make it home; and to those who are serving, thank you for being there to protect our safety.

Special prayers for all the children...may they have good health, enough to eat and drink, a warm bed, and the abiding love of parents and family who will protect them. May the children survive and thrive. No child should ever go to bed hungry, nor should anyone else in our beautiful, bountiful country. Help the food banks if you can. Even a little helps. May our own children be healthy and happy, and shed no tears of sadness.

May your parents be healthy and happy as well. I hope everyone's mom and dad and children are healthy, and/or getting better.

Condolences to those of you that have lost a parent or a loved one recently. May you find the strength to carry on, and hold good memories of your blessed loved ones to keep you strong.

Try to do a good deed for a stranger. They'll feel good, and you'll feel better.

May the best of everything come your way, today and every day.

Ellen, my dear Shvester, I hope you'll be able to post today. I wish you the best of good health ALWAYS.

Donna, I'm thinking about you and your mom and hope she is resting comfortably.

Hugs, Sunny xox

Good Shabbos Sunny and friends,

Sunny, as always this is a beautiful place to come to start the Sabbath.

I echo all of your sentiments. The world is truly a small place and it would be so wonderful if we could live without strife.

I am wishing good health for all. and a very happy weekend.

Hi Ellen, hope to see you !

Donna, you are in my thoughts.

Happy Solstice everyone

Thank you.  My family descends from those who hid out in canyons in a western state, in the USA, and had to pretend the name "Levi" meant nothing more than blue jeans.

Happy solstice, indeed.  The longest and most beautiful day of the year.

I can't begin to imagine the sadness of those affected by random events of hate.  The sky cries.  Every raindrop fills an ocean of sorrow; may we see the light.

Together we will.

Welcome, Sweetbay Magnolia!! I don't think I've seen you post on this thread before. It's always a thrill to me when new people post here!

It sounds like you've got an interesting story to tell about your family. I think we probably all do, in one way or another. Please come back again; we're here every Friday to celebrate the beginning of the Sabbath. Have a beautiful weekend!

Good morning Miss Sunny from the West Coast.  I echo all of your sentiments.  I feel so profoundly sad and disheartened about the killings in Charleston, South Carolina.  Church members go to a Wednesday night prayer meeting to sing, study the Bible, and pray.  And they are shot down.  I have never in all of my 64 years felt fear or unsafe in a Church.  Never.  I just can't wrap my head around it.  They were shot because they were Black, Christian, or just because they happened to show up that Wednesday night.

Hope I didn't derail your thread and I apologize if it is wrong to post on this thread in the manner I did.

Dell, I'm really happy to see you here! Don't worry; you didn't derail the thread, but I think we all have to be careful with this new board. They don't want us talking about current events. I think they are stricter here than the previous board, and we don't want to tempt fate. I do however, agree with everything you said. Maybe one day there will be peace.

Please come back anytime. You, as well as everyone, is always welcome!

Shabbat Shalom to all you lovely people.

My prayers are with all the family members and friends of those poor souls who were gunned down by yet another mentally ill,  gun-toting individual.  Another senseless crime x 9.

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend.  To all dads out there, Happy Father's Day.
