Hello my friends!  Today's family reunion was fun and very well attended.  It was held at one of my niece's house, mostly in their garage, and house too.  Lots of food, and the cake that my nephew brings every year had the picture of us all on from last years' reunion.  What a neat idea.  Visited with a lot of nephews and nieces, and even great- nephews too.  Lots of posters were hung from pictures from all the reunions since they started in the '80's where we can see our kids and nephews and nieces grow up!  The one who has the next reunion takes the  posters so they can hang them all up before we all come.  Next year it will be at another niece's place at a lake.  Beautiful place!

When you wonder what you should do, ask yourself what the Lord would do
and you can't go wrong.  Lord, make me more like You every day.

S C R I P T U R E   F O R   T H E   D A Y

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate
your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who
persecute you,  so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he
makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the
righteous and on the unrighteous.  For if you love those who love you, what
reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?  And if you
greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others?
Do not even the Gentiles do the same?  Be perfect, therefore, as your
heavenly Father is perfect."  ~Matthew
5:43-48

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I can practice love, because lack of love will block the way.  I can try to
see good in all people, those I like and those who fret me and go against
the grain.  They are all children of God.  I can try to give love;
otherwise, how can I dwell in God's spirit from which nothing unloving can
come?  I can try to get along with all people, because the more love I give
away, the more I will have.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I pray that I may do all I can to love others, in spite of their many
faults.  I pray that as I love, so will I be loved.

IT'S IN THE VALLEYS I GROW

Sometimes life seems hard to bear,
Full of sorrow, trouble and woe
It's then I have to remember
That it's in the valleys I grow.

If I always stayed on the mountain top
And never experienced pain,
I would never appreciate God's love
And would be living in vain.

I have so much to learn
And my growth is very slow,
Sometimes I need the mountain tops,
But it's in the valleys I grow.

I do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
But I am very sure of one thing.
My Lord will see me through.

My little valleys are nothing
When I picture Christ on the cross
He went through the valley of death;
His victory was Satan's loss.

Forgive me Lord, for complaining
When I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder
That it's in the valleys I grow.

Continue to strengthen me, Lord
And use my life each day
To share your love with others
And help them find their way.

Thank you for valleys, Lord
For this one thing I know
The mountain tops are glorious
But it's in the valleys I grow!

Have a blessed day!

LISTEN TO ME

Effective immediately, please be aware that there are changes YOU need

to make in YOUR life. These changes need to be completed in order that
I may fulfill My promises to you to grant you peace, joy and happiness
in this life. I apologize for any inconvenience, but after all that I
am doing, this seems very little to ask of you. I know, I already gave
you the 10 Commandments. Keep them. But follow these guidelines,
also:

1. QUIT WORRYING

Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you
forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for
you? Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little thing that comes
your way?

2. PUT IT ON THE LIST

Something needs to be done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No,
not YOUR list. Put it on MY to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care
of the problem. I can't help you until you turn it over to Me. And
although My to-do-list is long, I am after all... God. I can take care
of anything you
put into My hands. In fact, if the truth were ever really known, I
take care of a lot of things for you that you never even realize.

3. TRUST ME

Once you've given your burdens to Me, quit trying to take them back.
Trust in Me. Have the faith that I will take care of all your needs.
YOUR problems and your trials. Problems with the kids? Put them on My
list. Problem with finances? Put it on My list. Problems with your
emotional roller coaster? For My sake, put it on My list. I want to
help you. All you have to do is ask.

4. LEAVE IT ALONE

Don't wake up one morning and say, "Well, I'm feeling much stronger
now, I think I can handle it from here." Why do you think you are
feeling stronger now? It's simple. You gave Me your burdens and I'm
taking care of them. I also renew your strength and cover you in my
peace. Don't you know that if I give you these problems back, you will
be right back where you started?
Leave them with Me and forget about them. Just let Me do my job.

5. TALK TO ME

I want you to forget a lot of things. Forget what was making you
crazy. Forget the worry and the fretting because you know I'm in
control. But there's one thing I pray you never forget. Please, don't
forget to talk to Me - OFTEN! I love YOU! I want to hear your voice. I
want you to include Me
in on the things going on in your life. I want to hear you talk about
your friends and family. Prayer is simply you having a conversation
with Me. I want to be your dearest friend.

6. HAVE FAITH

I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you
are. Have faith in Me that I know what I'm doing. Trust Me; you
wouldn't want the view from My eyes. I will continue to care for you,
watch over you, and meet your needs. You only have to trust Me.
Although I have a much bigger task than you, it seems as if you have
so much trouble just doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?

7. SHARE

You were taught to share when you were only two years old. When did
you forget? That rule still applies. Share with those who are less
fortunate than you. Share your joy with those who need encouragement.
Share your laughter with those who haven't heard any in such a long
time. Share your tears with those who have forgotten how to cry. Share
your faith with those who have none.

8. BE PATIENT

I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime you could have so many
diverse experiences. You grow from a child to an adult, have children,
change jobs many times, learn many trades, travel to so many places,
meet thousands of people, and experience so much. How can you be so
impatient then when it takes Me a little longer than you expect to
handle something on My to-do-list? Trust in My timing, for My timing
is perfect. Just because I created the entire universe in only six
days, everyone thinks I should always rush, rush, rush.

9. BE KIND

Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you. They
may not dress like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do,
but I still love you all. Please try to get along, for My sake. I
created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if
you were all identical.
Please, know I love each of your differences.

10. LOVE YOURSELF

As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created
by me for one reason only -- to be loved, and to love in return. I am
a God of Love. Love Me. Love your neighbors. But also love yourself.
It makes My heart ache when I see you so angry with yourself when
things go wrong. You are very precious to Me. Don't ever forget that!
With all my heart, I love YOU!

CARRY YOUR ROSARY EVERYDAY
When you carry a Rosary, Satan has a headache.
When you use it, he collapses.
When he sees you praying it, he faints.
Let us pray the rosary every time, so that he'll keep fainting.

one day, he'll have a stroke and never be able to work.

Did you also know that when you are about to forward this message, Satan will try to discourage you?

Forward it anyway and help hasten the triumph of Mama Mary!

Lets together pray rosary on Good friday between 12 to 3 pm. Lets ask for mercy through holy mary by praying rosary

There is a great deal to gain and absolutely nothing to lose!

Imagine what might happen if every Catholic in the world would pray a Rosary on the same day! We have an example in October of 1573, when Europe was saved from the invasion of the mighty Turkish fleet, by the praying of the Rosary by all Christians!
So, on Good Friday, let us all pray a Rosary for peace in the world and the return of moral values into our communities. If possible, please pray your Rosary between Noon and 3:00 pm.

Also, please e-mail this message to every Catholic on your address list, and ask them to pass it along to every Catholic on their lists. Let's unite in praying one of the most powerful prayers in existence, for these intentions, on one of the holiest days in our Church

July 30 - Jesus Calling

Worship Me in the beauty of holiness. I created beauty to declare the existence of My holy Being. A magnificent rose, a hauntingly glorious sunset, oceanic splendor—all these things were meant to proclaim My Presence in the world. Most people rush past these proclamations without giving them a second thought. Some people use beauty, especially feminine loveliness, to sell their products.

How precious are My children who are awed by nature’s beauty; this opens them up to My holy Presence. Even before you knew Me personally, you responded to My creation with wonder. This is a gift, and it carries responsibility with it. Declare My glorious Being to the world. The whole earth is full of My radiant beauty—My Glory!

Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
-Psalm 29:2 nkjv

And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”
-Isaiah 6:3

Hope everyone had a lovely Saturday!  Gloriajean your reunion sounded fun and so special.  Thank you for the thread to especially the list of items. They made me cry and really spoke right to me.  Thank you so much!

My kitty Faith, had a good vet visit, well not the travel part. I live 30 minutes from the vet and she gets car sick so not a fun trip for her.  Her kitty cold is a little better but she has a mild case of conjunctivitis in both eyes.  The vet took a swab and there was not a lot of bacteria so we are waiting a few days to see how things go. Right now, Faith is not playing with her eyes or anything so maybe this thing is on its way out.  i always worry about she and her sister VIrginia so a lot of anxiety these days.  All will be fine, just need to have faith and trust.

Hope you all have a blessed day and fill it with many miracles, joy and love!

Peace, Nancy

Thanks, gloriajean, for your post today. I really liked "Listen to Me."  I love family reunions!  Ours is held about 400 miles away, and we rent a hall owned by a small town. My great grandmother was one of 16, so there are lots of us. Numbers are starting to dwindle, though.

Nancy, I'm glad Faith is doing better.

I enjoy your pictures, meallen!

Good afternoon ladies -- Gloria, sounds like a fabulour reunion.  Love the idea of posters going from one reunion to the other, beautiful.

I've been to 1 family reunion in my life, when I was a young girl.  Didn't appreciate it enough back then, but sure would now.

Thanks for the scriptures and the uplifting words.

Love the pic, Meallen.

Nancy - it sounds like the kitties are getting better.

Blessed day all!

Hi all, Thanks for your posts - yes, it sure is a good idea of having all the posters from the beginning to see what year they were and where they were at. Always at someone's house - about the reunions.

Glad the kitties are better, Nancy, I'm so glad that what got posted here spoke to you - it's God talking to you through the internet.  Isn't that great how He uses the internet?
