Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

Hello my friends!  Well today went well with the twins and me in charge! They weren't fussy, and went right back to sleep again after fed, changed etc. and some loving!  They have dimples at times!!  They are so cute!

Tomorrow Greg's Mom is taking over, and I'll do Thursday and she'll do Friday. Wednesday, Darla' friend is coming with her daughter to help.  Got the week covered.  I am so tired!  But glad to be able to do this for them.   Hope your Monday was full of blessings too.

Nothing is ever quite as bad as it seems.  Call on God and then practice expectancy
and optimism and things will turn out better than you expect.  Lord, thank You for
tomorrow.

S C R I P T U R E   F O R   T H E   D A Y

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were
called in the one body. And be thankful."  ~Colossians 3:15

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

We can be at home and comfortable in the world.  Yet some of us live
lives of quiet desperation.  This is the opposite of being at home and
at peace in the world.  We can let our peace of mind be evident to those
around us.  We can let others see that we are comfortable, and seeing
it, know that it springs from our trust in God.  The dull, hard way of
resignation is not God's way.  Faith can take the sting out of the winds
of adversity and can bring peace even in the midst of struggle.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I pray that I may be more comfortable in my way of living.  I pray that
I may feel more at home and at peace within myself.

Jesus said Come Follow Me

You must let go and allow Me to love you
You must let go and be filled with My love

You must let go and Trust in Me
You must let go and receive My peace
You must let go and listen to Me
You must let go and I will teach You

You must let go and and learn from Me
You must let go and thank Me
You must let go and praise Me
You must let go and let My spirit rest in you

You must let go and love Me
You must let go,forgive and be merciful
You must let go and accept yourself
You must let go and wait for Me to work

You must let go and let My wisdom, knowledge and truth inspire and change in you

Prayer for the Gifts to Seek God and Live in Him
Father, in your goodness grant me the intellect to comprehend you, the perception to discern you, and the reason to appreciate you. In your kindness endow me with the diligence to look for you, the wisdom to discover you, and the spirit to apprehend you. In your graciousness bestow on me a heart to contemplate you, ears to hear you, eyes to see you, and a tongue to speak of you. In your mercy confer on me a conversation pleasing to you, the patience to wait for you, and the perseverance to long for you. Grant me a perfect end - your holy presence. Amen.

My Name Is "Gossip"

I have no respect for justice.

I maim without killing.
I break hearts and ruin lives.
I am cruel and malicious
and gather strength with age

The more I am quoted,
the more I am believed.
I flourish at every level of society.
My victims are helpless.
They cannot protect themselves
against me because
I have no name and no face.

To track me down is impossible.
The harder you try,
the more elusive I become.
I'm nobody's friend.

Once I tarnish a reputation,
it is never the same.
I topple governments
and ruin marriages.
I ruin careers and
cause sleepless nights,
Heartache, and indigestion.

I spawn suspicion
and generate grief.
I make innocent people
cry in their pillows.
Even my name hisses.

The mess to clean after a party because it means I have been
surrounded by friends.

The taxes I pay because it means that I'm employed.

The clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough
to eat.

My shadow who watches me work because it means I am out in the
sunshine.

A lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that
need fixing because it means I have a home.

All the complaining I hear about our government because it means we
have freedom of speech.

The space I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I
am capable of walking.

My huge heating bill because it means I am warm.

The lady behind me in church who sings off key because it means that
I can hear.

The piles of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to
wear.

Weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I
have been productive.

The alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means
that I'm alive.

Getting too much email bogs me down but at least I know I have
friends who are thinking of me.

Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when The alarm rings, thank
you, Lord, that I can hear. There are many who are deaf.

Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long
as possible, thank you, Lord, that I can see. Many are blind.

Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising, thank you Lord,
that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.

Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost,
toast is burned and tempers are short, thank you, Lord, for My family.
There are many who are lonely.

Even though our breakfast table never looks like the pictures in
magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced, thank you, Lord, for
the food we have. There are many who are hungry;

Even though the routine of my job often is hard, thank you, Lord, for
the opportunity to work. There are many who have no job.

Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my
circumstances were not so modest, thank you, Lord, for life.

Pass this on to the friends you know.
A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives with Beauty, Joy, and Grace
and  makes the world we live in A Better and Happier Place.

The Jesus Prayer

O my Divine Savior, transform me into yourself.
May my hands be the hands of Jesus.
May my tongue be the tongue of Jesus,
Grant that every faculty of my body may serve only to glorify you.
Above all, transform my soul and all its powers,
that my memory, my will and my affections
may be the memory, the will and the affections of Jesus.
I pray you to destroy in me all that is not you.
Grant that I may live but in you and for you,
and that I may truly say with St. Paul:
"I live, now not I, but Christ lives in me" (Gal 2:20).

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit, speak through me,
so all lost souls can plainly see,
not my will, but God's I seek.
Your word's are strong,
where mine are weak.

Holy Spirit, teach me love,
so those that hate can climb above.
I know that love, it is the key,
so this I pray, show love through me.

Holy Spirit, help me give,
so those without, through You may live.
To give to those who are in need,
to share my goods, but not in greed.

Holy Spirit, make me wise,
feed me knowledge, my heart it cries.
To understand what I don't know,
please make me wise, so I may grow.

Holy Spirit, help me trust,
to lean on You, in times I must.
My faith will grow each time I do.
Please build my trust, my trust in you.

Holy Spirit, take my pride,
humble me and be my guide.
First comes pride, and then the fall.
Let me pride in You, or none at all.

Holy Spirit, make me bold,
to spread the news, the scriptures hold.
To speak out loud, to those that hear,
our God is love, they must not fear.

Holy Spirit, this I pray,
fill me up this very day.
To have the power, with You be strong,
to make things right, where they are wrong.

Holy Spirit, let me shine,
with Jesus Christ, this life of mine,
that other souls will soon find out,
what serving God is all about.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

Lovely readings today! Thank you and many really hit home.  I need to be more at peace with my life, accept myself and like myself more.  Letting go is so hard for me and therefore, my faith at times is not strong.  Thank you for giving me these reflections to think about today and maybe, just maybe make strides toward letting go and letting God take over.

Museum was fun and busy. Had a nice family from New Jersey with a fun little boy, Gabe about 10 who was not to sure about this museum thing but I let him help me show some items and gave him a sneak peak at things we were going to see and he was great. Makes my heart happy to see little ones engaged at a museum.  Good day!

Many blessings ladies for a day filled with joy, peace and tiny, wonderful miracles.

Peace, Nancy

PS If people are willing, can we share the states we live in?  Fun knowing where people are from, I  live in MA and originally from Long Island, NY!

Nancy, I need to be more at peace with my life also.  I think many do.  We are not perfect yet!  I have learned to "Let Go" though.  We have to.  Let's always remember that not we, but GOD is always in in control. He only wants what's best for us.  I bet its fun at the museum.  Enjoy your time there.  I live in the land of 10,000 lakes, Minnesota!!

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

It was a good day today, Harlene, I didn't get the naps in, everytime I tried something came up to get me up.  like Linda coming over!  Nice visiting with her anyway, she had her grandgirl, Anna, with her.  They loved Sammy. It was tiring yesterday, but yes, it was fun too. Would feel so much better if Darla was on the mend, doctor's appt. tomorrow.

32uwm5 - Darla will be getting better, I'm sure, after she sees the doctor and he decides what's best for her. Maybe she needs that D & C. Whatever will heal her body so she can enjoy being a Mommy!
