Daily Positive Thread for Friday

It is far wiser to ask God for what He thinks is good for us, than for what
we think is good for us.  Lord, Your Will not mine be done.

S C R I P T U R E   F O R   T H E   D A Y

"I believe; help my unbelief!"  ~Mark 9:24

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

"I believe; help my unbelief!"  This cry of the human heart is an
expression of human frailty.  It signifies the soul's sincere desire for
progress.  As we feel the existence of God and God's power, we can
believe in God more and more.  At the same time, we can be more
conscious of our falling short of absolute trust in God.  The soul's
progress is an increasing belief, then a cry for more faith, a plea to
conquer all unbelief, all lack of trust.  We can believe that this cry
is heard by God and that this prayer is answered in due time.  And so
our faith can grow, little by little, day by day.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I pray that with more power in my life will come more faith.  I pray
that I may come to trust God more each day.

Anyway, my blessings today is a beautiful day here today, Lori was here for lunch, and that's great for a change!  Then she bought us a Dairy Queen!  So I'll try to post some more, and see what I can do.  What are your blessings?

Jesus Calling
June 18

You are My beloved child. I chose you before the foundation of the world, to walk with Me along paths designed uniquely for you. Concentrate on keeping in step with Me, instead of trying to anticipate My plans for you. If you trust that My plans are to prosper you and not to harm you, you can relax and enjoy the present moment.

Your hope and your future are rooted in heaven, where eternal ecstasy awaits you. Nothing can rob you of your inheritance of unimaginable riches and well-being. Sometimes I grant you glimpses of your glorious future, to encourage you and spur you on. But your main focus should be staying close to Me. I set the pace in keeping with your needs and My purposes.

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.
—Ephesians 1:4 nasb

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.
—Proverbs 16:9

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
—Jeremiah 29:11

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
—Ephesians 1:13–14

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Friday

Does anyone like this format or not?  It wasn't my choice, but what I had to do to get this thread here.

Now I'm wondering if it really belongs here?

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Friday

Hi Gloria...not sure what you mean about the format, but it looks good from my side...centered, some color, nice font, etc.

IIRC, your daily positive thread was in Among Friends in the previous Quniverse, so it's in the correct forum IMHO.

Your regular visitors could still be wandering around in the dark...no pun intended, altho it makes a great pun LOL...hopefully, they'll show up soon.

I enjoyed the original meditation post here very much...it was just enough to give me something good to think about (which I sorely needed around this place LOL) without having to process too much deep thinking!

Blessings,

MacDuff

Gloria you cracked the code.

The format looks fine - honestly, the message is what matters.  I admire your persistence and appreciate your dedication.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Friday

Thank you MacDuff and Birdmama! I needed to hear this.

The format before, MacDuff, was all the inspirations in one post, instead of breaking it up into two or three.  Tonight It worked fine.

I have to use ctrl and v, but that's okay as long as it works.

I sure had quite a day yesterday trying to get this to post correctly!!!  Praise God it now is good.

God bless you for your posts.
