So tomorrow will be a month since I delved into Wen again. I'm so glad I did! My hair is visibly healthier! I'm amazed actually. I used to use regular sulfate free shampoo/conditioner combos but the Wen has still made my hair healthier! I have all Wen now. I pretty much have my basic combos down. BGT is my staple. I use it daily, on my hair and scalp and my face, too! It's made a huge difference in my skin also! Sometimes I use it alone, sometimes I combine it with POM or one of the seasonals. Sometimes I use the WKA as a first cleanse, but I don't like it as much as I thought I would. The scent of the BGT has grown on me too, it's not as bad as I thought at first.

My most recent purchases include the POM Mousse (which comes today) and the POM SC duo which came while I was gone last week and I haven't tried yet. But the feel of the 613 creme isn't as plastic like anymore. I think maybe now that my hair is better, it may have made that better too. I suspect it's the french oil in it that my hair doesn't like much. We'll see how the POM does. I still need to purchase the POM Finishing Creme. I'm considering getting the SHP....I love peachy fragrances. Never did get the orange blossom....I'm just not a floral person. Now depending on the fall and winter scents this year, I may be all over those!!!!! But I won't be without my BGT. Here's hoping for a gallon in June!!!!/><img class=/><img class=

Also today is the first time I've colored since I started on Wen. I've got POM Remoist on right now. I used my usual demipermanent color and washed with my BGT twice, then primed with a little BGT and applied two tablespoons of the remoist. I added a little water like I do with my regular cleanser and really worked it in, and combed it through. I'll leave it on at least an hour.

I will say though, I didn't have any fading with the Wen this month!!! Usually at this point I'm going nuts because it's all faded out, which is what a demi is made to do anyway, but it still looked fresh! If it weren't for the regrowth I wouldn't have done it! And I also colored on the 15th last month because it was processing while I was watching the Wen shows, and it was also my birthday haha!

Re: One month Wen Update....

Thia, hello again!!! I've been wondering how your Wen experience was going. It sounds like you're experimenting like crazy. Good for you!!! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

What you mentioned about the addition of that new french shine boosting ingredient to the 613 mousse made so much sense. When Chaz introduced the 613 mousse last June, he mentioned that this was the international debut of this new shine boosting ingredient (the french company who made this ingredient approached Chaz first). I don't think it's in the 613 CC, but I think it is also in the SC (I don't know if it's in the 613 RTM).

That's great that you haven't had any fading since you've been using Wen!! Since you're in the industry, I'd appreciate hearing your perspective on using a TT oil product after getting hair colored. I've heard that, for some people, TT oil can sometimes take color out of hair. Thanks, in advance, for your input on thisSmiley Happy

You may want to hold off on additional Wen purchases until Chaz's visit at the end of this week: April 18th & 19th (Jumping the Gun - WEN Shows in April). He usually has some lower featured prices on those days... and there is always the possibility of an OTO or special price. On April 19th, the TSV is for Vionic sandals and their last presentation will be at 8pm. Since Wen has a 2 hour show which immediately follows the Vionic show, that just about guarantees a Wen OTO for the 9pm-11pm ET show on April 19th.

Also, hold off on buying that Wen Finishing Treatment Creme, because it looks like it's going to be included in a "gift with purchase" sample bag for the QVC & CEW Present Beauty With Benefits - April 17th from 8-10pm ET -- check out the photo in post #9 of this thread.

How do you like the remoist? I'm glad the BGT is working well for you. I've been using it for the past few weeks with varied results. What sorts of results have you been seeing? hmmm hopefully there will be BGT gallons in JuneSmiley Happy

I'm glad to hear that Wen has been working so well for you. Welcome to the wonderful world of Wen!!!

Re: One month Wen Update....

Hi Bebe, thank you! Yes I've definitely been experimenting! Some of that happened while I was oot for work the last two weeks (I teach stylists advanced cutting and color techniques for my company and sometimes travel out) so I got to see my hair's reaction to various waters as well. We have extremely hard water here but so far no issues. It's the first time I've not had to clarify at least once in a month! I normally clarify before coloring but didn't have any issues with dye uptake. YAY!!!

TT products a few times a week shouldn't be an issue. I've been using Chaz's TT oil on my scalp and hair prior to washing since I got it several weeks ago. No issues. I've used other brand's TT products in the past too with only a few issues, such as fading from the shampoos. It's not something I recommend doing daily if you color though, but a lot of the time a few times a week is plenty.

I'm planning on holding off for sure! I was already planning on watching or dvr'ing the ones I can't, but that particular one I'll be sure to watch! A OTO would be wonderful....I want to get to the point where I have backups of my backups of my staples LOL.

I LOVE remoist! I've used it once or twice prior to now but never right after a color. I was a little leery just because prior to now my color would fade if I follow with that rich a conditioner afterwards but nothing! And nothing when I rinsed it too, which is a miracle in and of itself because usually when I shampoo my hair for several weeks after a color there's a little color rinsing off, and like I said, I even used sulfate free!!

As for BGT results....my SD has calmed way down (except the worst part behind my right ear, which always acts up, but the TT oil takes care of it) and my hair is very smooth and silky and growing like a weed, and I have a lot of growth anyway! No flaking and no major shedding either! That's good too because I had a big shed a year or so ago with stress/SD. I use the BGT RTS too, and love it, love it for my skin as well! My split ends are so much better that I'll be able to really push back my trims and get some great growth I think! I also use Chaz's large Boar Bristle Brushes as I like to round brush my hair straight, but I'm considering the mediums as well for curling. I'm amazed at the difference they have made in my hair too....I was using a ceramic brush that I didn't think was damaging my hair even though it was, and now I get smoothness and polish without damage! And my skin....ohhh it's so soft and I don't get as oily now! I use BGT to cleanse (with my Clarisonic at night) and follow with the BGT RTS and then my maracuja oil mixed with Chaz's TT oil. I may try just the TT oil in the summer. I've also used the BGT spray followed with a spritz of the TT RTS too and that works as well.

I'm in love with Wen!!!

Thia Winter,

Wheeeeee! So glad to hear about your good results. I do think WEN requires some experimenting for each person. Many years ago, when I first tried WEN it was an absolute failure. How I wish I had stuck with it long enough to learn what and how it works for me. Could have had wonderful hair years ago. Me... with shiny, great hair that is growing... who would have thought it?

The BGT and Clarisonic have been wonderful for my combo, retin-A skin.

Welcome new Wenner. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Need me some 613 oil, remoist, & VTS {#emotions_dlg.wub}

This, that is awesome! You are doing extremely well for one month in. My learning curve was close to 6 months. It was well worth it!

Thanks! the first two times I tried it didn't work for me either, mostly due to ingredients issues though. I'd be all over a bamboo oil and remoist!!!

Thank you! Chalk the shorter learning curve up to my previous two tried with wen. Didn't work for me then because of ingredients issues, although I did learn a lot as far as how to use it. Smiley Very Happy

Re: One month Wen Update....

Thia, thanks for your input about the TT oil. I really appreciate your feedback on it. Smile

I'm going to have to try the BGT on my face with my Clarisonic because you're getting really good results with it. I've had good results using the 613 CC with my Clarisonic but I always wound up chickening out and going back to my facial cleanser. My pores clog up easily and I always worry that using the CC for too long will clog them up again.

That's amazing (but not surprising *s*) about how well Chaz's brushes are working for your hair. I just adore the Wen comb that I bought last December. It is just soooo much better than any other comb I have ever owned. lol, I have this ongoing mantra... why don't I just listen to Chaz the very first time he suggests something. {#emotions_dlg.lol} btw, have you tried the Wen comb (I'm guessing it must have come in your 8oz remoist kit)? I'm so glad that the remoist is working so well on your colored hair!!!

And I love spraying the BGT RTM on my face. The first week I got it I kept spritzing my face with it throughout the day!!! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}
