I still have to use a curling iron. My hair is so much healthier since using Wen but I can't blow dry. No matter how I try, I just can't get my hair right, blow drying alone. I'm not good using a blow dryer to style my hair. I still use hot curlers occasionally and the iron. I know he does not like hot irons and I understand how damaging they are but I still find I have to use them.

I have a chin length layered angled bob. The lady that cuts my hair is the best. My hair is thick and coarse. I could never find anyone till now that could layer my hair. If I want my hair fluffy, I can just blow-dry and go. There are times that I like the flat-iron look. So yes, I do use a flat-iron.
Before I got such a perfect cut, I would have to use hot rollers.

I am down to using a curling iron in an emergency maybe once every 2 months or so. You are better off using heat and using WEN than not using WEN, but if you can gradually experiment with the styles you get using twists at night with RTM, you might be surprised. I don't know how long your hair is, but I found that the sock bun method worked for me too. There are tons of videos on YouTube if you haven't done it before. I love getting up in the morning and doing nothing but spritzing RTM and scrunching in SC before I head out. I can sleep longer!

I've continued to use heated styling tools throughout my WEN journey (2.5 yrs.), but most recently I've really gotten away from them. That doesn't mean I'll never use them again. It just means that I don't use them on a daily basis anymore. My hair is longer than it's been in YEARS, and sometimes I think it's almost too long for a woman my age, but I'm going to rock it as long as I can. I think, since my skin is in good condition and my face looks younger than my years, I can get away with it for a little while longer anyway. I can't do the big WEN hair with the bouncy curls all over my head, but I can get a very nice straight look, with ends and bangs turned slightly under, by just using my blow dryer and a round boar & nylon brush. That's a fine everyday look for me.

My hair is the longest, thickest, healthiest it has been in 20 years. I'm 54 and not a WEN user. But I stopped using heat on my hair, I leave blow drying and flat ironing to my hairdresser. I was damaging my hair and I didn't even know it.

My hair is short and color treated. It was so damaged by the time I gave Wen a try and I'm thrilled with the change, (6 months). I'm letting it grow and it is now about the bottom of my ears. After menopause, it got so thin I was really worried. Wen has made a dramatic difference but I just can't blow dry. I broke my shoulder years ago and cannot get the hair blower behind my head. I can blow dry the sides and top but not the back.
Plus, I'm impatient with blow drying. I take the iron and just smooth it out, stick a few rollers around and I'm done. I know I'm hurting my hair, but I'm also realistic. I just can't deal with the blow dryer!

I've used Wen for almost 2 years. Rest assured, there are people that still blow dry, use flat irons and hot rollers. I'm guilty of the first two.

I cut way back on the flat iron years ago. I do use them occasionally but by occasionally I mean maybe once every 6 months or so. I'm more likely to use a curling iron, but not all over my head. I just round brush my hair to straighten.

I still use a curling iron because I am not a big fan of having my hair perfectly straight. No matter how adept I am at blow-drying, the bend falls out from the round brush after an hour or two. A curling iron allows me to add additional volume and that's why I continue to use it.
One question though.....a lot of the models who are on Chaz's presentations have curls in their hair. Did he get them just using a round brush because some of the models look like they had rollers or a curling iron applied to their hair..
