Wen - new tips learned from Chaz during the Wen shows

One of the reasons that I like to watch Chaz's Wen shows -- besides just the fun of watching the shows -- is that I pick up new hair care tips from Chaz. It would be great to share the new tips we pick up from Chaz on this thread.

Someone just called in and mentioned that she does hot yoga. Chaz said that if you keep either the Re-moist or the Treatment Oil on your scalp while you are doing hot yoga, that this will help the nourishing ingredients in these products penetrate your scalp more deeply.

Re: Wen - new tips learned from Chaz during the Wen shows

Chaz and Lisa Robertson each mentioned that the LAV CC is good for volume if you have a lot of fine hair. And then Chaz mentioned that for thin/fine hair the TT CC works better for volume.

I was surprised to hear this because they always used to just simply recommend the LAV CC for added volume. -- I have thin/fine hair. Whenever I've used the LAV CC it left my hair without body and didn't provide any volume. So it turns out that I wasn't imagining it. {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

In contrast, the TT CC has always worked well for my and now Chaz is recommending it for my hair type.

No problem, bebe!

Lav makes my thick, course hair very fluffy and poofy, which I don't like. TT gives it the volume I was looking for.

When I follow up with Fig as a second cleanse, the results are amazing!

The biggest tips for me was working products from under the hair first and then the crown since that's where I am the thickest and most dry. Also remembering to do my leave in after cleaning.

I loved watching him demo the blowout. I learned so much that I bought the brush set! I wasn't going to but my DH was all, "Your current brushes are all wrong! Why won't you spend a little bit to put the final piece in place??" I didn't need any more convincing, lol.

I love this! I wish my husband would say this, but I already spend more than a little bit, so I can't blame him. I think you will love the brushes. You won't be sorry that you spent the money. Post about what you think when you get them. Smiley Happy

Re: Wen - new tips learned from Chaz during the Wen shows

As a newer user, the shows have been helpful. I will also say that asking questions here has really helped me. I read a lot of the threads before I got the nerve to post. I know silly, but I was nervous. You all welcomed me immediately. For that I say a big Thank You!! One thing I would like to hear him stress to newer users is to really scrub your scalp and make sure and add plenty of water. Doing that was when I got my WOW moment! I think some of the new users still think of Wen as a conditioner. Meaning even though they know it's supposed to clean your hair and scalp they still apply and work it in as a conditioner. My mother and sister both used it wrong the first time, they put in on their hair worked it through the ends etc, but never cleaned their scalp. I think that is one of the biggest mistakes. I'm very blessed that I saw the Wen forum and had read a lot before I used it the first time. And I had watched his shows on QVC for a few years. So my "trial" period was short. I always learn something new each time he is on. But for newbies like myself, scrub your scalp, add plenty of water to get it frothy, and rinse, rinse, rinse. Then repeat. Just saying, these tips were My game changer's.
