I received my first bottle of Wen yesterday and tried it out last night. It is the lavender cleansing conditioner. I have long-ish hair, it's down past the middle of my back, and it's pretty thick and curly. I used 26 pumps total. For the first rinse I focused more on my scalp and for the second rinse I focused more on my ends and left it on for the remainder of my shower which was about 10-15mins. After rinsing it out I used 1 pump on the middle of my hair and ends.

The middle of my hair and ends are really soft, smooth, and silky. My roots are soft, but a bit dryer and frizzy. I noticed that the top of my head dried a lot faster than the rest of my hair as well. I just let it air dry like normal. I want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly. Should I add more pumps? Did I rinse my scalp too much? I think I'm going to love this product once I get the hang of it!

Also, I've read about people mixing cleansing conditioners. I was thinking of trying the tea tree since I have problems with dry scalp. Maybe the tea tree for the first rinse and then the fig for the second rinse to help with hydration. Is that a good combo? Thank you for any help!

Lavender can be drying for some people so maybe another formula would be better for you. Tea Tree is good for the scalp and Fig is supposed to be very moisturizing. Since you're new to WEN, you might consider getting yourself a few smaller bottles or sets of travel packets to experiment with until you find the combo you like.

I don't think there's such a thing as rinsing too much. However, if you used a bath towel to get the excess water from your hair and did any vigorous rubbing, that could make your hair frizzy. You might try a small amount of Pomegranate Finishing Creme to smooth out the frizz on dry, styled hair.

Tea Tree and Fig is my usual combo and they go very well together. I really need Fig for moisture and mix it with everything else.

I have wavy-curly hair that is super frizz-prone and the only solution I've found has been to blot it dry with an old t-shirt and applying Curl Keeper, by Curly Hair Solutions, afterward. I used an Aquis microfiber towel for years and loved it, but the t-shirt is even better. It has no loops to pull at my hair and cause frizz. Curl Keeper has been the best product I've found to combat frizz and even works for me in 90% humidity.

Tea tree and fig is a great combo. I always use tea tree for my first cleanse and fig, Sam, lav, BGT, or a seasonal as my second cleanse. I love to change it up, but I will always love my tea tree.
