You may want to hold off on additional purchases until Chaz's Spring Wen TSV comes out. It will probably be in April and will likely retail for $60. It should provide a better value and it also will include the 613 styling creme:
Spring 2014 - TSV (April-?) -- WEN by ChazDean Cleanse, Restore and Style 4-piece Collection: 32 oz. CC, 2 oz. RTM, 16 oz. 613 CC, 5 oz. 613 SC -- *probably* $60 -- product information per godf. -- 32 oz. CC & 2 oz. RTM core scent choices are SAM, TT, FIG, LAV, CA, POM and, for the first time, BGT. -- will probably be in the first half of April based on TSV dates for prior years. Last year's spring TSV had to be scheduled in March for some reason.
Below is a hot link to information on past Wen TSVs. Scroll down to post #17 because it has the most up-to date listings:

I don't use heat on my hair, so I don't use the styling cream. My hair is awesome.
At the bare minimum, I can use the Fig Cleansing Conditioner (CC) and get the results that I want for my hair.

As I mentioned above, the styling creme is a worthwhile purchase. But you may want to wait until the Spring Wen TSV to buy the specially priced kit. I'd suggest that you wade into Wen slowly and just experiment with the cleansing conditioner for now.
Chaz recommends the styling creme for the following reasons:
* lightweight leave-in conditioner for moisture
* polishing gloss for shine
* light gel for hold
* anti-frizz
* heat protectant.
I hope this information helps.

The CC is most important, obviously, for improving your hair, reversing damage done by poo, nutrition for your scalp, etc. etc. so I would absolutely NOT say that there's no point to using CC if you don't use SC. ABSOLUTELY NOT. However, for me, the SC makes my hair look nicer, smoother, less frizzy, and it makes the curls more defined, and since I only air dry and never style my hair at all, I welcome that helping hand. Plus, 1 bottle of SC lasts me FOREVER (like 6 months or more) since I use 1 pump per cleanse, and I cleanse maybe 3 times per week. I agree that you shouldn't spend full price for it, but if you can get it in a kit or TSV then I highly recommend that you give it a good try to see if it helps the look of your style. Make sure that you add it to soaking wet hair after your 1 pump leave in. Like I said, I never style my hair, I just roll out of bed and walk out into the world like a big slob, and no one would ever know!

This A234934 is a pretty good deal if you happen to be low on CC, because you get the SC for basically $8.50, and as I said it'll last you months and months. If you're not low on one of your main formulas, though, then as others said I'd wait for a TSV to try it or get a kit where you can try a tiny one.

I achieve great results with the CC on its own, I rarely use other styling products. I do own the styling cream and it does make my hair softer and smoother, but I don't use it regularly. Watching Chaz talk about it today does make me want to use it more often, though!

I don't think it is necessary unless you use heat alot (hair dryer, curler, flat iron), in which it will help to protect the hair from the heat. Otherwise, no, you don't need it if you are getting the results you want. I like using it now that I've found a good way to use it but I find I do not need it to get good results. I didn't use it for many months and did just fine without it.I also don't use any CC as a leave in as it does nothing for me.
So if you like the way your hair is looking without it, you don't need to try it, right?
