My question is - are each of the remoist formulas really that different from each other, or is it just a matter of scent?

The reason I ask is I am in desperate need of moisture, but have not had any success with the Sweet Almond Mint remoist - it really has done nothing for my hair. Out of desperation, I recently started using my old stinky Ojon deep treatment and it really works. Now I'm running low on the Ojon, so I thought I'd try the Fig remoist, but I don't want to spend the $ if it's basically the same as the SAM.

FYI - I have been using WEN for several years, and only use WEN products (except for the Ojon treatment). I rotate between Fig, TT, 613 and the seasonals (and a little bamboo for fun). I use the oils a few times a week. I have very, very thick, coarse, highlighted hair that is past my shoulders.

I think they are all the same formula with just different essential oils for the scents. I tend to stick with the scents that work better for me, TT & FIG. Do you normally use Fig? How much of the remoist are you using?

The Fig CC works the best on my hair, and that is mostly what I use. But, I have to be honest, I HATE the smell of the Fig, so I have always used non-fig ancillary products, which is why I went with the Sweet Almond Mint remoist. I use about a quarter of a jar of remoist for each treatment. I leave it in overnight, and I've tried it wet and dry.

Full disclosure - I bought the remoist from Guthy Renker (it was a one time sale of some sort), I wonder if the formula is not the same as QVC WEN (which is what I've always used and had success with)?

The formulas are not the same.

I would suggest you try the fig since you use that CC the most.

Here is a link to a thread where I discuss the differences between the two Re-Moist formulas (QVC and G-R).

http://community.qvc.com/forums/wen/topic/396192/remoist-questions.aspx

I have only ever used the QVC Re-Moist. I have used SAM/POM/Fig/CA. In my personal experience, SAM is not very moisturizing for my hair (in fact my hair feels a little dryer after an overnight treatment with SAM). But it gives my hair more shine. Fig and CA Re-Moists give me much more moisture and are much better for my overnight treatments.

Thanks! I knew the Guthy Renker ""Deal"" was too good to be true! Will just go ahead and order the fig remoist from QVC.

I use Fig ReMoist from GR and QVC. The results are the same as a deep conditioner and as a leave-in.

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.

I personally think the qvc version of the remoist is a lot more moisturizing than the GR version. I have tried both in sweet almond mint. I haven't tried any of the other scents. I know I have heard Chaz say the pomegranate is nut free. The ingredient deck for the Pom remoist looks a little different than the others.

I agree. The remoist from QVC is thicker and richer. The results with it are dramatic, where with the GR version, their just okay.

HappyElizabeth, I think the remoists each work a little differently. I find the Pom to be less moisturizing than the SAM or TT...I'm sure it has to do with the ingredients and oils. While they are all very moisturizing, especially if you use them overnight, I think Fig is the most moisturizing IMHO, followed by TT and SAM...and POM is the least--although, if you use them overnight they all pretty much work the same.

Really, they do perform much better overnight no matter which scent you choose--but if you're rushed for time and just want to leave it on for an hour or so, I'd go with one of the wheat-based ones. Just my opinion though.... Smiley Happy
