Just Got my WEN today!! That was fast! Have questions about the number of pumps to use!

Ok im really confused on the number of pumps to use! On the videos on QVC under the description where you can click on the short, medium, long and ethnic...he says for medium to use 12 pumps for the 16 oz size. Well the video that came with it says to use 10 for each section which would be 40 pumps...that seems insane! So im just confused as to why there is 2 different numbers!
