Someone recently described the differences between the Kids Wen as

Apple being the most cleansing

Watermelon being the most moisturizing

and Strawberry Banana somewhere in between.

What's your take on the differences between the formulas?

I have Strawberry Banana but haven't used it yet but I would agree with those generalizations for the other two. Both are very easy to rinse out though, which is why I like the formula so much. I think that Strawberry Banana smells like bubble gum, Watermelon has a strong watermelon candy smell and Green Apple is my personal favorite and has a bit of a synthetic apple smell but is very crisp. Unless you have very dry/frizzy hair I say just choose whichever one's scent sounds the best to you. I have oily hair but I use any of them without problems, it's all about scent for me.

I have dry frizzy hair, my husband and so do my kids...although we have it to different degrees. Using fig & pom has helped me alot. I am not a fan of SAM. However, I also want a non menthol scent especially for my kids. That's why I am interested in finding out which is the most moisturizing. Some people say strawberry banana is the most moisturizing. Someone else said watermelon was the most moisturizing.

I am planning on buying a kids' gallon....and I have to make up my mind in less than 24 hours. Help me by giving your experience with the three scents. I am sure this might be a help to others as well. Thank you Weners!

This might be a good question for either the WEN or Chaz Dean Facebook page or Chaz's Twitter account. He's been Tweeting like mad, so I know he's actively using it right now.

That is hard to say. I think they all seem to moisturize about the same. However, the apple and watermelon seem to be lighter formulas. I love the smell of all three, but for some reason I usually reach for watermelon. I think apple and watermelon rinse much better than the strawberry banana. The consistancy off strawberry banana reminds me of smashed bananas and strawberries. They all have the same ingredients except for the fruit extracts. I have trouble choosing, too, but I hope this helps.

Hair type- chin length with layers, dark blonde with highlights, wavy, and thick with fine texture.

I wish the kids came in travel size so I could try them. I'm thinking I want the watermelon..

Wen really needs to sell sample sizes, or trial sizes.

I am hoping he comes out with the variety pack travel packs in the Kids so we can try them. I haven't tried them either but definitely interested in doing so!

Thanks Hillary77 and everyone else. I think I am going to go with...............drumroll please...........Strawberry Banana!!!!! I am a fan of this type of smoothy.

I feel so stupid that I am getting excited about ordering this...but I know (hope?) there are those weners out there that feel the same as me.

This is my four year old son's favorite. He says, "Momma, I want to use banana bubble gum."

I tried before and they only gave me a generic answer that all 3 are for all types of hair. That's why I asked those that have used all three...for their opinion.

I'm still questioning Strawberry Banana or Watermelon..
