His cataract (s) came on suddenly due to hyperbaric oxygen treatment he had received. The surgeon said that he had read about this a lot but this is the first patient he will be operating on that had their cataracts ripen or progress this quickly due to the procedure.

He isn't worried about the surgeries at all - they will be a month apart. Thanks for the good wishes.

I asked him how I looked and he said, sorta like Doris Day in every movie she ever did.
