Has anyone tried them yet? What's the verdict? Will this thread become controversial?

There's a thread in the Kitchen forum about them. I'd say it's about 50/50. Some like them and some don't. I tried them and like them. They aren't the best cookie in the universe, but they're good.

They are okay. They are limited edition I think. They sold out at our Publix.

I don't know why it's limited edition. Red Velvet flavor is popular all year around.

p.s. Folks that like the flavor should email and/or Facebook the Oreo company. Ask for it all year long.

I was in a taste test where we were blindfolded and given a slice of red velvet cake with butter cream icing and chocolate cake with the same icing. Most people could not tell the difference.

Other than appearance, what is different about the taste of these Oreos?

I've seen them recently but I didn't buy any. I like the lemon ones a lot. Right now we have a lot of girl scout cookies. We bought them to help a friend's daughter.

I prefer the lemon ones, or the double stuffed original. The red velvet not so much.
