Didn't know where to post this --- beauty? health? Figured I would post where it might get more answers.
I always get dry lips in winter even though I am never without a lip product. Cold temps, heat, etc. seem to do a number. However, I am suffering terribly this year - way more than usual.
My lips are flaking so badly, I cannot wear lipstick. The corners are red and sore. It is not pretty!!!
I have had to abandon all lipsticks, etc. for now and am just using a Burt's Bee Balm with kokum butter. This has given me some relief but not as much as I would like.
Anyone every suffer badly like this --- and what did you do? Thanks so much.
I always put a product on before bed, also. And I do drink plenty of water.
I cannot use products with menthol, etc., as these make my lips worse.

It could be your lipstick, I can't use anything except Beauti Control, everything else dries my lips out.

If I were you I'd used either Aquafor or plain vaseline. Anything with any other ingredients could make it worse. You might want to see a dermatologist if it's that bad.

I am addicted to chap stick and have tubes of it everywhere. I've never had chapped lips.

I use Chapstick too. I have tried expensive products but I always comeback to my Chapstick.

Gentle exfoliation is the only thing that gets rid of the peeling.

I bought some Laura Geller lip scrub stuff on my last drugstore.com order and it has a nice cooling affect and your lips feel so nice and smooth. I've only used it once but it worked.
