Is it too late to find a place to stay in NYC for New Year's Eve?

You can always stay in NJ or CT and take the train in...or an outer borough.

The rates will be better too!

I'd not even bother to look this late; however, if its something you think you'd like to do, research, reserve a place much earlier than this for next year. Expect it to be VERY VERY expensive. NYC is expensive enough during off peak times.

I'd start with a city like Hoboken NJ - it's just across the river and easy to get into mid-town from.

There are Hoboken hotels about a mile or two from the train station still available.

Go to one of the search hotel web sites like Expedia and enter your requested date. They will provide you with a list of hotels that have vacancies and the price. You won't know unless you try
