mary ann mobley has passed away at the age of 75. i enjoyed her in old elvis movies and in a bunch of sitcom appearances during the 70s and 80s. and of course, she was miss america. she had been battling breast cancer.

may she rest in peace.

I only know her from the Match Game 74 shows. She never matched! Sad to lose her to breast cancer.

I saw the night she was crowned Miss America. Then the next year her sorority sister at Ole Miss, Lynda Lee Mead became Miss America. I can't remember what I did yesterday, but I remember that.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.

She is the first Miss America I remember. I thought she was the most beautiful queen I'd ever seen.

Very sad. I was just thinking of her and her late husband a few days ago. They were quite a nice couple, from what I've heard throughout the years. I always loved the way Mary Ann spoke, her demeanor, etc. RIP. I believe they have a daughter, but not quite sure.
