WHY NOT DO AWAY WITH HOSTS?

MAYBE I WATCH TO MUCH TV SHOPPING, BUTTTTTT!!! HOW ABOUT JUST HAVING THE VENDOR COME AND TALK ABOUT THE PRODUCT. THEY KNOW MUCH MORE THAN BORING HOSTS THAT TALK WAY TO MUCH FOR ME. SOMETIMES I FEEL HOSTS ARE SELLING THEMSELVES AND NOT PRODUCT ON AIR.

COULD I HAVE YOUR VIEWS PLEASE!!!!

That would never work. The vendors rely on the hosts to sell the product. Plus viewers "like" the hosts and watch their shows....if it was just vendors coming on, no one would watch. JMO

I once came upon a channel selling jewelry...all you saw were the hosts' hands!

It was weird. I wondered what they were hiding...were the hosts secretly smirking?

I use to have that channel, too.....I didn't like it...I need to see faces.....lol

Both are necessary. The vendor who gives a brief history (hopefully believable) of the product and describes it. And the host who "sells" it and keeps us advised of how many are left in what color, etc.

I rarely watch anymore but it would make so much sense if they did away with those horrible phone calls.
