Canada bans travel from Ebola-infected West African countries

I just heard it on the CBS evening news -- it just happened. So Canada has acted definitively on this.

CBS also did a story on how a West African enclave on Staten Island is being affected by prejudice. They have an open market that used to be bustling that has no one. And people are yelling racial epithets out at people on the street.

Only Canada knows why they do what they do.

I just looked it up online and I think you're right it's just the visa applicants.

Re: Canada bans travel from Ebola-infected West African countries

(CNN) -- Canada will stop processing visa applications from foreign nationals who have visited West African nations with large outbreaks of the Ebola virus, Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander said Friday.

Applications will be returned to people from Ebola hot spots who have already applied for visas, officials said in a press release.

The changes do not affect Canadians currently in West Africa, the press release said. Health care workers in West Africa will be permitted to travel back to Canada.

Good idea, IMO.

That's awful about the markets.

And the yelling epithets at people.

Horrible.
