I don't recall seeing that particular movie, but I love TCM. My TV is on that channel more than any other. Movies made during the 1930's through early to mid 1960's had dialogue. They did not depend on special effects, lots of s3x and foul language. Any of those movies could be seen by a child and even though adult topics were in the script, a child would not "get" it.

I got to see it all..........I am so happy and it is wonderful I want to try and buy it if it is for sale. A movie that will touch my heart forever. Thank you ladies for your posts and I am sorry that one of you is in pain.

Has anyone seen the movie in the 40's THE SUN COMES UP?
Nope. Wasn't born then.

I might have seen it years ago, but forgot what it was about, etc. BTW, did you see my post on another thread yesterday..........About my mom telling me how I used to always want to carry a purse when I was a toddler/very young child. I just had to carry my purse everywhere. In my photos they were small, plastic cross-body types. .........EDITED: p.s. You don't have to try to find it/or look for it.........this is what I said /wrote on that post.

I have seen everyone of her movies especially the ones with Nelson Eddy. My mom started me on her and I fell in love with them. They made around 8 musicals together and were real tear jerkers.
RRR, you need to rent Maytime, it is my favorite. My mom saw her sing in person many decades ago. What a voice.

I wasn't here in 1939, but I got a wild hair one day and watched Gone With the Wind.........
