Since you asked - I don't know if his upper lip ever moved much even when he was younger. I think the facial augmentation and fillers over the years may be negatively impacting his ability to enunciate the words properly.

IMHO - he added nothing to John Denver's song.

I had to take a peek via online.

His top lip never moved if memory serves me correctly. He never really smiled opened mouth and all teeth.

That said, with all the other cosmetic procedures he's had, I'm really surprised he hasn't gone for a chin implant.
