All--A friend is thinking about using this name as a middle name for her boy baby. It goes OK with the rest of the name, but is not a family name. I know we have a good cross section of people posting on this topic. What do you think of it? I guess I'm just asking how it sounds to you. I won't show my friend your comments, so just say your view.
Thanks much. I would love to know your opinion.

Never heard it before. Sounds like someone can't pronounce ""Matter."" But if the parents are happy? Who knows.

Makes me think of Jerry Mathers; you know, the "Beave."

Sounds a bit 'uppity', but not a bad name at all. BTW, anyone know of other names that they aren't crazy about?

Keep responding to "Mather" girls. But, to extend the topic, I don't like names that sound like product placements, Tiffany comes to mind.

Any idea where she got "Mather" in the first place?
