I know someone who is either sickly sweet or a complete witch. The sickly sweet part is an act to mask her true self. This person has such a gooey way about her including a baby soft voice and big smile and then when the person she's schmoozing walks away her tone changes and her voice deepens then her eyes get bugged out and she completely stabs the person in the back that she just kissed up to. She is known to sabotage others who go against her. This person holds a high position in the co. Recently some co-workers have become fed up and one person is anonymously circulating emails outlining what this management person is saying and doing which apparently includes harassing. This co-worker has reported several incidents which have fallen on deaf ears. Likely the anonymous sender is the one who is going to have his or her head roll if caught and Dr. Jekyll/Miss Hyde will continue.
Do you know anyone like this?

In real life? No, I can't think of anyone thank goodness!

Oh, yes.

I know several. Unfortunately, they are mostly in their "Hyde" personas.

Yes, a woman I worked with about 8 years ago and she fits everything you have described to a T. I think she was Bipolar. She was also a thief and would steal anything that wasn't nailed down.
She worked at several different offices in our Company and kept getting transferred to different locations due to coworker complaints.
She finally was fired for stealing and now works in a Hospital. Unfortunately she now works with my DD'S best friends husband and he said the exact same problems are happening there. I did warn him ahead of time.
She was the worst person I have ever worked with or known personally. It's sad because she disrupts peoples lives and causes such stress.

People like that tend to usually land on their feet if not excel in the work world. They are incredibly cunning.

In real life, no.
In board life, yes.

Unforunately, yes.

Yes, I've known several people like that, particularly in the workforce. It is almost a no win situation, unless people work together as a group to bring this to management's attention. Even then, the probability of eradicating this individual are slim. No action will take place until she ticks off the wrong person in upper management.
And, I agree with you that the anonymous sender is the one that is going to get burned. It is a very precarious situation if they are sending these emails at work, because unless they are some sort of super uber IT specialist, they will be identified.
