My new countertop is coming today!!!!

Started 1380200232.373 in Viewpoints | Last reply 1387958981.55 by Noseworthy Foote

After 5 months without a kitchen, I will finally be able to organize things and get them put away! And DH will be so happy I can finally cook some decent meals. I am so anxious to see my countertop, as those little 4" squares don't begin to show you what it will really look like.

I am nervous and excited at the same time. I hope I like it.

How exciting!

Being without a kitchen is extremely hard.

Hope you really like them.

What did you finally decide on? Material? Color?

I've been busy getting estimates for our kitchen and baths. It is hard to decide.

I hope it's perfect. I've just about made my decision after a good year or more.

Congrats, sue! I am so jealous, we still don't have ours yet!

Thanks so much, everyone! It's done, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It is just like I pictured it to be. It's Allen and Roth quartz in the color nutmeg. It is also sold as Hanstone's victorian sands. After 100+ years, this old house finally has a decent looking kitchen. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Congratulations on your new kitchen. Temporary inconvenience, permanent improvement. You will love it! Can you post a photo?

You are going to have so much fun picking out just the right stuff to decorate your beautiful countertop. Have fun and congrats. You are gonna' love it.

I love how in scary movies the person yells out "Hello?" As if the killer is going to be like, "Yeah, I'm in the kitchen, want a sandwich?"

Sue, have you been living in your house while the remodel was going on? I had my entire house remodeled 10 years ago and if I knew then what I know now, I would have moved to an apartment for the whole time. It was only about 10 weeks but that's still a long time to be living in the middle of a remodel.
