A new dating website for farmers and ranchers to find true love..., "cuz...city folk just don't get it!"(that is what the commercial says) What will they come out with next? LOL!

I first saw that commercial about a month ago. It made me laugh too!

I've seen it around here for quite a while, but I live in the South, so go figure. Lol. Hey, farmers need love, too! ;)

LOL! That is funny, not surprising though. I was joking with a friend not too long ago that where I live surely there must be a John Deere dating site... and sure enough, there ya go.

I have not seen that commercial but I know I went out with a guy when I was younger that my friend introduced me to and I am nothing country.........well, he was a bull rider and I asked him how long was he able to stay on a bull and he said 8 seconds and I said "Is that all".....then he said the D word, mam' that is a long time.........and then he took me out one more time to the rodeo and the girls were so crazy for him.....well, that time heels and jeans were in style and so was my fur coat and he said...........I just can't date a girl that wears a fur coat to the rodeo.....he said I was nice and pretty but too city...lol

This type of website has been around for years.

The ad is right....unless you've grown up & understand the farming/ranching lifestyle, city folk really "don't get it". It's a commitment to your product and/or livestock....they always come first. You own your business....but Mother Nature is your boss. If you do it right, it's back-breaking work, but very rewarding....and your spouse better have the same philosophy or it's doomed from the beginning...and is sounds like Farmersonly.com is the answer!

I saw the commercial and thought it was a joke...like an SNL thing.

I would tend to think that for those wanting to find love and enjoy the farm life would do better on this site as there would be much more honesty. The other sites have too many truth stretchers.

The first time I saw the commercial I thought it was a joke, too. Sadly it was not.

Every dating site has truth stretchers. I'm sure farmers only is no different.

All my family were farmers, now only 2 cousins are. You are so right about Mother Nature is your boss. Very few occupations are controlled so capriciously. Though also one of the few that the entire family works as a unit for success. Best place to learn teamwork and self-sacrifice as youth, and carried thru out life.

There is a lot of work involved in running a farm so I think this is a good way for like minded people to meet.

That commercial has been on here for a while. I work with two ladies that are married to farmers. Their husbands work really long hours. I can see the need for that match making service.

Well good for them. I hope people find true love! (I met my husband on a dating site) And yeah theyre right city folk DONT get it. lol. I am remarried living in a country development overlooking a field of corn. (no my husband isn't a farmer or a cowboy). It was VERY hard for me to adjust. The city was exciting, everything was close by. I still cant sleep right due to silence here in the country and put a machine on that makes noise to sleep. lol. Anyway I have nothing against farmers at all, but I would have never dated a cowboy. (Endless country music would bother me). So I guess we all have our own opinions.
