Was it the knee, lack of preparation, worn out, or the French was his come-back goal for the year??

It was close throughout the match, he was just not able to turn it around.

I will never understand why there is a major in January and nothing again until May. There is just not enough time to transition from the clay to grass. After Wimbledon, there is so little time to prepare for hardcourt season. I wish they would change the schedule to make it easier on the players.
