HSN Returns

Started 1364333912.91 in Viewpoints | Last reply 1364398624.107 by RedConvertibleGirl

Some have a complained about the slow returns at the Q.....I usually find my returns, here, are processed fairly fast....

On the 21st of this month I gave the mailman my return for HSN...I always give him my returns....

I have been checking my return and it is still sitting in the Bound Brook post office since the 21st...(not my post office)...so it still has not left NJ....and it has been 6 days...

I called HSN ...c.s.....and he tells me to call back at the end of the week if it still has not shown up....that will make it 9 days....now that is something to complain about...

That is way too long for that return to sit in a local post office....and they call them easy returns...

That's not HSN's fault ... you could have opted to use UPS and I guarantee you your return would in the hands of HSN by now or close to it.

If you're looking at USPS tracking, it's extremely inaccurate. They notate it when it's receive and don't touch it again until it's delivered, when there's a flurry of activity. It's worthless.

I've been a customer of HSN for over a decade and have found their return process to be easy, fast and reliable. However, I've always used their UPS option. USPS is notoriously unreliable. I avoid the post office like a plague.

Sox...in the past my HSN returns ...given to the Postman....went real fast ..so I didn't think anything of doing it the same way...I agree UPS is much faster but, as I stated, this is the first time it has taken so long...I give the Postman my returns for the Q and its processed right away...

kachina....you may be right...about not being updated...however their cs shows it in the same place that I do...unless their system isn't updated any more then mine....

what the cs said....if its not at HSN by Friday....they will give me my refund..and then try to find where the product is...that was very nice of him.....

i never have a problem with returns or deliveries to or from hsn. i always get them faster than my things from qvc. i dont hand my returns to a mail carrier though. i take them to the post office OR into a ups/packaging store.

Circles,

I'm in NJ and believe Bound Brook is where the UPS distribution center is located. I know when I track packages that are shipped UPS, they frequently say arrival Bound Brook, then transferred to local post office.

lulu...I know Bound Brook is the hub for UPS....the package was taken there and it says waiting for postal pickup....or some such thing...but why would it sit there for 6 days...just odd....I figured my money would be in my account by now...certainly didn't expect to see it still here in nj....

I use the UPS for returns and it only takes a few days. Really fast.

I almost always use the label HSN provides and drop my return in the mailbox. My returns are generally credited within a week of me dropping the package in the box. I have never had a problem.

I agree this isn't HSN's fault that the post office/UPS isn't transporting the package.

Returned an item which was picked up last Friday to hsn. Got an e-mail confirming their receipt of item yesterday. So that is what, 2 working days? Seems fast to me and all I did was slap on the label that came with the product/ask my UPS guy to stop by, for free, and off it went.

Don't know how much easier or efficient it could be than that.

That has been my experience, in the past, John.....whether I used the USPS or the UPS label..thats why I am surprised it is taking so long....

I just checked and it still has not moved out of Bound Brook.....

I think the USPS tracking system is terrible and inaccurate. I never even bother checking it because it's been wrong so often.

Depending on what time it was picked up on the 21st, it would've sat with the mail carrier all day. So you can't count that day. You can really only count the 22nd, 25th and 26th. But again, I find USPS tracking useless.

It's had only been 3 business days before you posted. Hardly enough time to get it to HSN and get a refund.
