Word find or crossword puzzles?

Started 1358882214.07 in Viewpoints | Last reply 1358983447.307 by SuesCat

I go w/word find. Never got into crossword puzzles. But I like Scrabble. I also liked to play Picturenary. Monopoly was too long to play.

What game type stuff do you like or did you like when you played? Yahtzee? That was ok.

I've gotten hooked on crossword puzzles since I started using a great app on my iPhone and iPad. It's been a long time since I've played board games, but I remember enjoying Scrabble, Yahtzee, Trivial Pursuit and Monopoly. It might be fun to start those again!

I like word find and I need to start doing this again........it is the therapy my doctor wants me to do. Also using your oposite hand is good for our brains too.

Wordfind for me, but I always end up helping my SO with his daily crosswords.

I'm not sarcastic. I'm just intelligent beyond your understanding.
I love how in scary movies the person yells out "Hello?" As if the killer is going to be like, "Yeah, I'm in the kitchen, want a sandwich?"

Love crosswords! Also enjoy Word Find, or most any other word games. I have Scrabble software on my laptop and play against the computer whenever time permits.

Being retired, I just love starting my morning having breakfast while reading the newspaper and then doing the crossword puzzle. Ahhhh!

I've always enjoyed playing Yahtzee. I like Word Search & Crossword puzzles, but haven't worked on any recently.

When our kids were younger, we'd play so many board games with them, but they've out grown them now.

It might sound boring to some, but I think it would be fun to have Yahtzee night with some of the neighborhood ladies. Food & drinks, too.

I forgot about another app I can get really addicted to. It's called "Hangman" (by Finger Arts) and it's like the old hangman game but it uses current news headlines with links to the full articles. It's pretty tough to solve, and I find myself reading about news items I would otherwise have missed.

My mother always had a subscription to Dell Crosswords. When I was young I would do all the puzzles and word games that she didn't do because they were too easy for her. I was so proud when I could do a hard one lol. I do all 5 puzzles in my newspaper every day. Always hated Scrabble, though, for some reason.

It's "Crosswords" by Stand Alone, Inc. I began with the free app, but I found the paid app to be worth the cost (I've used it for 3 or 4 years). They have a pretty good number of puzzle providers from easy to very difficult, included in the one-time price, and their customer support it great. I'm wondering which Wordplay or Wordfind apps are good -- I've never tried playing those.

Thanks! I just downloaded the free version to see if I like it.
