Is Bufferin ever coming back?

It's the only thing I like to take if I have a headache, which fortunately is infrequent. But it's been off the shelf for what seems like forever. Anyone know if it'll ever be coming back?

who makes it and was there a recall?

I tried to get a Tylenol product at CVS yesterday and they only have store brand....claiming that Tylenol products are hard to come by because they aren't being shipped since all the recalls.

Seems like the recalls were eons ago, since I don't even remember what they were or why!

Are you referring to Excedrin maybe?

No, I'm referring to Bufferin.

Here's a link that speaks to the recall, etc.: http://www.webmd.com/pain-management/news/20120109/bufferin-excedrin-nodoz-gasx-recall

I have no idea if and when it will be back on the shelves. However, there are other buffered aspirin products available.

I buy my Excedrin substitute from Walmart...their Equate brand is much cheaper and the exact same formulation. Perhaps they have a buffered aspirin product as well.

I buy the CVS brand of Extra Strength Excedrin, and it's identical (it's also the same as Excedrin Migraine) for my migraines. hippiegirl, Have you tried the store brand equivalent? So far, I haven't seen an update on these recalled products returning, though they said they would eventually be back.

it was early this year, I believe. I was using Excedrin Migraine and it was one of those that could have been tainted. It also included bufferin. Excedrin Migraine has not come back on the shelves - I use the drugstore brand now

Isn't Bufferin the same thing as Excedrin. Aren't they both aspirin and caffeine? I am allergic to aspirin so I don't take it but I think that is what I read or someone told me.

Consumers that have questions regarding the recall should contact the Novartis Consumer Relationship Center at 1-888-477-2403 (available Monday-Saturday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern Time) for information on how to return the affected products and receive reimbursement

That is what came up when I Googled it!
