That's nothing new. In the past I recall they had in it pink, blue, green, yellow, etc. I'll take mine in white without the dye. JMO.

Yes Maggie........as for the dye they bleach the white ones and add color in the colored ones......probably the same but I am not allergic to anything.

Do the dyes make it hard on eyes & skin?

Good memory traveler.........is that where we folded them and then used a tie of some sort and then we open up the tissue?
I think this would be great to put on a gift...a bunch of them as flowers.

Yes, we always had coordinated colors of tissues and TP to match our bathrooms.

I miss those days Shelbelle. I will do that now if they will bring them back. Rainbow colors.

These colors are so pretty in my tissue holders. One of my tissue holders is lace and roses with pearls........I got this at QVC back in 2001.......or 2002.......then in my bedroom I have one that stands up and it is beautiful beige with cream lace and a beautiful pinkish rose flower. I hope to have them forever and in my bathroom I have a metal Shabby Chic I picked up back in 2003 for $8 on sale......so the pink tissues are beautiful. I love the simple things in life.
Yes indeed, they did. I remember my mom always coordinating tp and Kleenex colors in each bathroom. I did it too early in my marriage. Colored tissue went away and I don't even remember when, suddenly it was all white. Someone mentioned making carnations out of colored Kleenex and I remember doing that when I was kid.

My stores have always had it, and I don't like it, I only buy white tissues.

Years ago, they made colored Kleenex and TP.

I'll stick with white.

OH MY! I have never seen kleenex in rainbow colors. I would love yellow or blue! I was born in 82 so maybe it was prior to that. Never ever saw kleenex in colors. WOW!

Champagnepoodle........check out stores that carry Kleenex. They do have blue at Walmart along with my pink.

If I recall, they did away with the colored TP because of the dyes, etc. I believe my mom mentioned that. Could be wrong, though. I'm sticking with white for myself. The Kleenex wouldn't be so bad, in colors, just for decoration and guests. And making carnations!

I remember buying colored TP and facial tissue years ago. I think there was some issue with microwaving dyed/colored paper towels, and all paper items went over to white (my memory is fuzzy on this). The colors don't really matter to me. It's easier when all those paper products are white.

I found a neat site which you can find an easy DIY: "Tissue paper carnations" ...... at FOLDINGTREES.COM. Very beautiful carnations using tissue paper, but maybe we can use the colored Kleenex, too. It's worth a try.

Haven't seen colored Kleenex in years. Thank you for posting about it. I'll be on the lookout for them.

I remember colored paper products back in the 1960s....maybe early 70s, but I'm not sure of quite when I last saw them. My mom, in the 1960s/early 70s, purposely quit buying colored paper goods because, as I recall, she heard they were bad for the environment somehow(???)....maybe the dyes contaminated groundwater or something. Who knows--I'm only guessing, based on what I sort of remember. My was an early environmentalist!

In the 1960s, people made colored-tissue carnations to decorate the cars for wedding parties...that was "big fun" in the small town where I lived at the time. {#emotions_dlg.w00t} The wedding party would drive a few times up and down main street and honk their horns. You would hear the horns and say, "Oh, yeah--Mary Jones and John Brown are getting married today."

....should say "my mom was an early environmentalist." (for some reason, I can't get this page to edit.)

i used to buy peach colored tp when that was available, beautifully matching my peachy b.r. until it dawned on me that this is extremely harmful to the environment, and for that reason I won't buy color kleenex as well.

They have had it before but was discontinued because of the dye. Perhaps they improved that.
