Carried Away Tote is QVC's bigger?

QVC description

  • Tote: 23"W x 15-1/2"H x 7-1/2"D with a 13" strap drop; weighs 1lb, 12oz

Vera Bradley site 18¼" x 15½" x 7½" with 12½" strap drop


Why the difference in width? Is QVC not measuring the base but the total stretched across the top?

They are measuring the top. I have 2 sets of this from QVC

I noticed on something I just purchased elsewhere, then compared for size here and read the word "approximately". See if you notice that? Maybe they don't write that in all of them. ??

Perhaps they do this because these bags are sewn and there could be an issue where its off by 1/2" or so.
