I am always on the lookout for a good unscented or lightly scented hairspray and they are hard to find. I also prefer the "spritz" type spray as opposed to the aerosol cans. I dislike stinky perfumey spray on my hair. The cheap brands at the local stores have alot of akcohol in them and weigh my hair down. I"m currently using Kenra which is ok but i'm still searching. Any suggestions?

It's unscented, never stiff or sticky (but still HOLDS), brushes & washes out VERY easily, & doesn't flake. PLUS...it's organic, so the ingredients are good! BTW, this dries really fast, too. It's the best I've ever used. It's called "Giovanni L.A.Hold Hair Spritz". I buy it at Vitacost (good price!)

In fact, I learned of this amazing spray here, thanks to goldenretriever!! You can also buy it at Wegmans if you have one nearby. I just bought 2 more bottles (my daughters use too) for $6.69 each & there was a $1 coupon attached so got each for $5.69. Can't beat the price & this is the BEST spray out there!!! doggy-lover1343947338.2771130 PostsRegistered 11/4/2011Texas Just in case you ever want to try to aerosol type, I use Paul Mitchell EXTRA BODY (PURPLE AND WHTE CAN) Extra Firm Finishing Spray. OMG - I have thick hair that does not hold well at all with most sprays, but this one does the job and adds body at the same time. This is the first spray that I can say I noticed a difference as far as adding body....just wanted to mention it to you... 49 yrs old

I haven't used hairspray for a long time, because most of them give me a horrid rash behind my ears. Perhaps this one won't. I am going to give it a try. nnie CA annie1343971719.2833751 PostsRegistered 1/25/2007Sunny CA On 8/2/2012 MarLo said: Clinique Hairspray Holds very well & the best if your sensitive. I tried the orignal once and hated the smell of it; even though it works great to me it smelled like a skunk, but they recently came out with an unscented version so I bought it again and wow-this is it for me!!!!! The only other one I like is CHI Infrastructure I think it's called. Both hold well, but are extremely light weight, fast-drying and comb-thru. Another good one that is a little less expensive is Tres Semme Tres Two Unscented. These are both aerosols, sorry, I do not have a spritz recomendation. Can I ask barbok, why the spritz rather than the aerosol? I always have a problem with a spritz weighing my hair down. An aerosol sprays a much more fine mist. It is an aerosol though. I have tried Elnett because many people like it but I felt that it didn't give much hold. I had to use a lot of it to get any real hold so I wasn't thrilled with it. The Tresemme works much better for me and is much less expensive. I was told by my hairdresser to purchase a "finishing spray" vs a "hairspray" if you don't want your hair to get weighed down. She also recommended short spritz's vs one pass around your head and spritz from the bottom up....believe it or not, makes a big difference and your hair does not get weighed down. So look for finishing sprays. betteb1344050857.6611593 PostsRegistered 1/1/2008The Land of Oz On 8/3/2012 pinkberry said: Tresemme in the black and green can. It is an aerosol though. "In the end, it's not the years in your life, it's the life in your years" Abe Lincoln CA annie - I am SO glad I read your post. I never used hairspray (do not really have the type of style where it is necessary) but heard that it would help with controlling frizz in the humidity. So I have been using it. I have the worst rash behind my ears and attributed it to shampoo or conditioners i was using. I was going crazy trying different brands and nothing helped. I never considered it could be the hairspray I was using but the timing of this fits. Think I would have figured that out! I have very sensitive skin due to Eczema & this is the only hairspray that does not give an allergic reaction. I been using it for over 20 years! http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/product/126101/CLINIQUE_NON-AEROSOL_HAIRSPRAY_%282007_formulation%29/
