Straight up, I'm too cheap to buy a Clarisonic because I've heard they don't last so why spend the money if it's only going to last as long as a similar type thing that's less expensive? I'm not interested in the kind with the spinning brush, only the kind with a sonic/vibrating brush. That said, does anyone on here have any experience with Clarisonic clones like: * Pretika Sonic Dermabrasion Facial Brush * Nutra Sonic Face Brush * Sirius Sonic Skin Care System Thanks

Turns off after a minute. di-mc1343672668.776517 PostsRegistered 12/4/2006the real world I've had the original Clairsonic since it first came out, a number of years ago and it's still going strong. As for the other brushes, check to see if they just spin or if they do the back and forth motion that the Clarisonic does. The spinning doesn't clean like the back and forth motion. NickelEmily1343676921.9231740 PostsRegistered 7/14/2007 I've had my clarisonic for years without any problem. It has lasted and lasted. So not sure where the idea that these don't last is coming from. Mine is so old that they didn't have any other versions, just the original. I use it twice each day. Not a problem, ever! But I really want to try it. I saw the Nutra Sonic on Overstock.com. I thought about trying the Olay brush first just because its the cheapest and then depending on if I like it try a better one, maybe the Clarsonic if I like it. Friendships between two women who are intouch with their inner b*tches are so much more meaningful than friendships based on toxic niceness. Hands down the clarisonic has been the best beauty purchase I ever made. (I use the delicate or sensitive brush heads). I ended up ordering a Pretika from Amazon.com for $27.99 w/free shipping. It might not be exactly the same as a Clarisonic, but it has gotten some good reviews on various sites. For that price I'm willing to give it a whirl. Even if it doesn't come with a second head, they are about $5 each. StellaDiva1343683098.311061 PostsRegistered 10/15/2011 dble post ! This is what comes in the box: SonicDermabrasion Facial Brush, Counter Stand, 100-240 Volt Charger, two (2) microfiber bristle applicators, and a built-in rechargeable NiMh cell battery StellaDiva1343683585.681061 PostsRegistered 10/15/2011 Looks like you got the complete package! Proactive was advertising their own version last night. It was free with the proactive order. On 7/30/2012 gradstudentMom said: Proactive was advertising their own version last night. Sandree1343688125.693111 PostsRegistered 12/3/2005 I can not recommend the Nutrasonic. While it worked, it was fine. But after only a few months with very little usage, it would not hold a charge and I had to dump it. I'm afraid to spend $100 for anything like this again. SeSam1343688616.1421 PostsRegistered 2/12/2008 I have owned a Clarisonic Mia for 2 years. Use it twice a day. Same as brand new. I did some research earlier and the Clarisonic moves much faster than other brands. I would hate to be without mine. Best tool I have ever bought. I purchased one for my daughter-in-law and she uses it twice a day. When it comes right down to it, I think your budget should dictate which type you buy. For me, it was Clarisonic. rina331343691607.653871 PostsRegistered 6/17/2008 *** NutraSonic *** LOVE it! Bought mine last year on sale @ HSN. Frankly, it's the best beauty investment I've ever made. If I were going to be stranded on a desert island and was told, "you can only bring ONE beauty product", it would be my Nutrasonic. just4me1343692550.55329 PostsRegistered 4/16/2005 I use Olay system: $30 p.s. the brushes are not harsh on skin p.p.s. available at Ulta, Walgreens, Target Last edited on 7/30/2012 StyleGrl1343693149.38615 PostsRegistered 4/4/2010 My original is over 4 years old. I bought another from my other bathroom when it was on sale and had the body brush. I would never be without one. For me, I wouldn't be happy with one of the knockoffs, especially those that spin. ednapsych1343693180.177413 PostsRegistered 10/6/2004 I have a Clarisonic that I purchased from QVC years ago. When they first carried them. It is still going strong. I think of all the items I have bought at QVC my clarisonic has been the best value since it has lasted sooooo long. SweetGirly1343693742.5499 PostsRegistered 10/2/2010Upstate NY I started with the Olay two years ago. It seemed to be OK, I used it everyday in the shower. The Olay was still working but I decided to upgrade, yes ALOT, to the Clarisonic. Wish I would have gotten it years ago. I also don't ever want to be with it...It makes a huge difference in the feel and look of my skin. TSV and easy pay helped to upgrade. sundrops1343738086.383439 PostsRegistered 3/11/2012 I also use the Olay brush. Started it last October. At first I thought the brush was TOO soft and wouldn't do anything. Stuck with it and within a week my skin was so much better. I never even have to pick at my skin anymore. Best beauty purchase for me. Never have changed the batteries yet. Use it at night only to remove make-up. Scotmeg1343738325.831111 PostsRegistered 5/4/2005 Broke down and finally bought the Clarasonic. Even though expensive so worth the money I've had mine since March 2008 and it still holds charge for 2 weeks (I use it twice daily Mon-Fri). I absolutely love mine and think it's worth every penny. helping11343750002.0371355 PostsRegistered 7/18/2010 I've never used a sonic facial brush, though just an fyi that some have reported getting broken capillaries (the tiny blood vessels at the ends of arteries) which cause pink or red threads in the skin from using those sonic brushes for the face. Over 40. Combo/sensitive skin. Tendency to get eczema.
