Used qvc return label and no news of the package so far

On July 26th I returned a pair of eternagold hoops using the prepaid return label that comes with the receipt and today I tracked it in my account and it says " status unavailable". I am getting cold feet now as the jewelry is worth $400. Did this happen to anyone here?

Yes, it takes forever for the tracking to update because it can sit in the P.O. for as long as five days. Don't worry, it will get there...eventually.

The scanning and tracking procedure using those labels has changed. In the past it was scanned at the PO and there was tracking, not anymore. Took my return 3 weeks to post and I was never able to track it. .

My return was less than two weeks ago, and it showed the tracking starting with when I dropped it off.

I think you are absolutely right about the scanning because before this return all my returns were scanned at the post office and the tracking showed it as well. With this one i guess i am more worried as it is not showing anything at all.

Oh God! I hope the tracking appears soon.

Don't try to track the package via the QVC site. Instead, enter the UPS or USPS tracking number, whichever you used, directly into the UPS or USPS site and see if that helps. It has worked for me in the past when no info showed on the Q site.

The tracking number on the qvc site is that of newgistics. I went to the newgistics site and the tracking via their website is also not giving any information.

When you use those return labels, take your package to the PO counter and request an acceptance receipt for your package. That way, it is immediately in the system.

Try packagetrackr.com and enter the Newgistics tracking # you have.

It takes way longer than a few days. I've returned many items with the QVC label. No problems. They do take quite a while to process as being returned. I just don't think about it for a few weeks. They wouldn't do anything for a certain number of days even if it was not received. It would be more than four days. I don't even take mine to the post office anymore unless they are large. After all my returns, I'm sure QVC would honor my return if something happened. I never track them.

You need to pay for and print your own label and send it Priority Mail. Tracking is free and you have a receipt right there and it stays in your shipping folder on the USPS web page. They are going to charge you for returning it anyhow, so you might as well pay the same or less and have peace of mind. I've never had a single problem using this method.

I have tracked the numbers off of my return labels, as I said, on the USPS site with no issues.

I keep telling you people NOT to use those labels. Make your own ans insure it. If you cannot afford to insure then you can't afford the product.

HAHA thought you were going to say the beginning of July or something.

4 days and over the weekend. Takes ALOT longer than that to show.

The kind of shipping they use for those return labels goes very slowly. It's kind of a bulk-shipping kind of deal. I'd diary it for two weeks and look in on it at that time.

I see that the 4 days includes a weekend - So it's probably been like one day, as the day of shipment is day zero, Fri was day one, Sat & Sun don't count, and Mon is day two.

It can take a week before you see any change in status when you use Q's label. The items aren't generally picked up daily so that adds to the delay. The item will get to it's destination. I've never had a problem except for it taking so long.

This is excellent advise! I do this on an expensive return. I recently returned a computer using their label and I got a receipt so I no longer needed to worry about the package. Even though, the only tracking shown was at my post office the package did turn up at QVC in a little over a week.

I have never, ever had a problem with Q's labels and I have used them often. The label includes insurance. Since it's USPS, it does take a few days before it updates. UPS would be normally be available 24 hours after dropping it off (depending on, of course, where you dropped it off - UPS or a UPS store).

You can track it online. Click on the tracking number under return on right hand side of order or call CS and they can track it for you, very simple.
