QVC Website is terrible!!!!!!

PLEASE someone fix it! It locks up.....it is so slow and it will not zoom in on any product....it is really a frustration since the only way of getting information on the product is to look on the website while watching tv....the hosts tell you nothing except JUNK you don't want to know. PLEASE FIX IT!!!

I have posted this info elsewhere, but it bears repeating. It looks like the Q is upgrading their site to use HTML5 instead of Flash (thank God). For most MAC and iPad users, this will be a blessing. For anyone using Internet Explorer as their web browser, this will cause some problems. In a test of web browsers for compatibility with HTML5, IE scored the lowest.....138 out of 500. Firefox scores somewhere in the 300's and Chrome scored very well. So, if you have trouble with one web browser on a web site, specifically trouble with viewing videos, viewing thumbnail pictures or other demo pictures for a product, or with using "buttons" to click to perform an action, and you did not have trouble before...try using Chrome. Or, you can also make sure that all of your Sun Java and Adobe Flash plug-ins are up to date.

I cannot answer that for you. I am just trying to help with the issues that I can identify. I do know that if a web site and browser cannot play nice with each other, the database used to run the web site will often default to a standard error message of some kind. Item sold out, item not found, web site under maintenance, etc. maybe just try what I suggested? Al's, try clearing the cookies and cache in your regular browser? CCleaner is great for that.

QVC does not run this 'community' board. It is contracted out to another company that only handles 'community, forums, chat sites, etc.

WickedGirl, I'm afraid you are preaching to the choir here. Most of the people here don't know a browser from a floppy disc.

I'm using Chrome and I can't enlarge or zoom either... Otherwise, if they ever get this thing working on all cylinders, it might have potential...

I cleared my cookie and temp files and the click here measurements still don't work. I'm using Internet Explorer. I'm not buying until it's fixed. I don't have time to call C/S every time I want to check a measurement!

I'm posting the email, I've been trying to submit to the custmer service all evening, but I keep getting a bad message. So, hopefully, someone will see my email now.

E222352 - HP 17.3" Notebook w/ AMD A8 Quad Core 8GB RAM750GB HD

I'm looking for status on a laptop that I returned last week. I've included the item number and my order number. Not sure what my customer number was. But, the night I received the laptop. The computer stated no disk drive, I phoned your service line, which referred me to HP, who then told me to send the item back as it was defected. I sent this item back on July 18.

I have already made a payment on an item that I do not have. You can see I have purchased large ticket items from you and I am asking that once you received this laptop you send one out to me overnight at no charge for shipping fees to me.

I was planning on using this for work/school and I am now without this laptop that you had advertised so furiously on your station.

Please let me know as to when I can expect this item. It currently is in Nevada. I would actually like for you to ship out now, as you can clearly see from the shipping label that is back to you, as stated on your website.

I will be waiting to hear from you, when I initially called in on July 17, the evening I called about the laptop, I requested at that time that this item be over night to me, at your expense as a courtesy, and to promote positive customer service.

Firefox user here. "Click here" measurements do not load. "Search" keeps reloading the same page that I started on. "Zoom" not working also. Don't like that "clearance" doesn't come up on sidebar after you've completed a search.

I don't want to complain, I just want to understand. I'm on an iPad. Does that mean I'm a totally different animal than those on a computer? I have no clue what browser I'm on. My only problem is not seeing videos which I know has something to do with flash, but you said that may be something they are changing. Do you still think so?

I don't think its technology. I have noticed over the past 18 months that there is a general (and subtle) downturn in QVC across the board. There website has lost the instant response time on current products (like when you go to "item on air" its way behind) and there are SO MANY products that are sold out but are presented online making one think that they are available. ALSO...subjectively...I think they made a BIG mistake trying to upgrade to many of the niche designer fashions. Take for example...Liz Claiborne...that stuff is nowhere near as high quality as the old Jessica Holbrook but WAY more expensive. There used to be a lot of "sharp, casual" Sport Savvy...no more. Denim & Co used to have a much wider range of product...gone. Now there's over-priced Isaac, LC, Lorie Goldstein etc and (some are nice) but for the most part its random and inconsistent. NOW lets talk about their "cost cutting" like the St Patricks Day celebration...that was PATHETIC! And even Valerie Parr Hill used to have way more seasonally thematic shows with unique high quality product...now she's rarely on and her stuff is, well...not like it used to be. And OH...MR. CHRISTMAS! What garbage! I don;t know whether its new management, the economy or a general loss of luster but the Q is not what it used to be. I could go on but I won't bore you!

I'm having problems too. Sometimes I try to look at an item from the forum. It just puts me back to the forum again. It gets so frustrating. There are things I probably would have ordered if the site worked as it should..

I have to sign in over and over again and it will still dump my cart items while I am still shopping after only a few minutes. I can't use speed buy as it just gives some kind of computer jibberish and when trying to edit in my orders, it gives this OOPS message. What in the world have they done or are they trying to do. I have also ordered with a check as payment and then it goes on backorder or I don't get it at all. Don't they even hold your ordered items until payment is received. This has begun to not be fun anymore.

I don't know what is happening, but I hate it. I can't edit for size or color and I can't get garment measurements. I emailed QVC but no response. I can only cancel once in a while, and I keep getting the message that I have "timed out."

This never used to happen. On-air programming is awful and I rarely watch preferring to use the web site but now I am having so much trouble with it, they are losing me. I've started shopping with other sites that are much more user friendly and I am finding there is life outside the Q.

The website is virtually unuseable for me! I was trying to look at Veronese jewelry. Not only was it SLOWWWWWWWWWW, but half the items were missing or repeated. The review stars were listed on some and "4 reviews" listed on others. I gave up. It looks like they don't have the staff members to handle all the ways they "communicate" now. They can't even keep up with the online website now. They need to put some money into their website or most of us will be GONE!
