Tired of Vera Bradley Patterns-what now?

I like all my Vera-but tired of the patterns. I prefer NOT to use leather bags-any ideas?

Try the Kooba just introduced on QVC a couple weeks ago. Their "gimmick" is vegan.

Vera has solid colored bags on her website. Also, Kooba or the Sak. Vegan bags are very popular now so also Goggle it. Good luck. P.S. Clarks had a cute black fabric bag with one flower on it for sale on their website too.

There is a company called, I think, Lily Blossom, that has nylon floral bags (a little newer than Vera Bradley designs) made of recycled materials. Also, Fossil has the most wonderful prints. They are often trimmed in leather though.

I discovered a wonderful place outside of Louisville, KY, on our way back from Nashville last year. It's Donna Sharp's House of Quilts and they specialize in quilted, cotton handbags. They are less expensive than VB, and very well made. The website is www.houseofquilts.com and they have many sale items as well. I have a small collection now, as I cannot carry heavy leather bags any longer. If you live near the store, it is even better, as there is a back room full of 50% off items. Also, their regular stock is 20% off right now.

hey buyornot, go to Vera's homepage, click on color, at the bottom of the colors click on "show all". At the bottom of the column, there will be black, blue, brown or wine microfiber...HTH

Watch out for the zippers on the microfiber though. They are TERRIBLE . The reviews are flooded with complaints about the zippers. i have bought 3 of the microfiber that I had to return because the zippers were absolutely unworkable. Sure wish they would fix the problem becaause I liked everything else about them.

Wow thanks for this link . I see several things there that I like and cheaper than Vera. Love the black pearl and another snake skin looking pattern.

I'd like to see a few more conservative paisley prints. Maybe in Fall colors. Maybe in a deep turquoise and navy print. I live in a cool area year around, and most people around here don't wear bright summer prints.

Yellow Rose

If this is your most serious dilemma, I'm not sure what to say.........

The Vera solids are very pretty. I bought one for my DIL last year, in red, and it is just beautiful.

Some people just don't like leather handbags, for a variety of reasons (philosophical, heaviness, or whatever). I'm one of them, and I'm always looking for alternatives.

Wow! I didn't come near saying this was a serious dilemma-why would you say that?

I just love Isabella bags. They're similar to Vera bags but with prints I really like and that are different from the Vera bags. I just bought a turquoise colored one on Amazon and love it. But that's only if you like quilted bags like Vera Bradley's but with different prints. Oh and they come with a little jewelry bling too.

I recently purchased a gift for someone. Anyway, I saw the solids under the "Sale" category then select all sale. Then go to page 24 and go backwards.

Sak has non-leather bags, I do think they are more casual in style. I am not fond of the nylon bags, like Travelon. I like the stripe Coach bags, but they still have leather trim, etc.

yes the stripe coach bags are very good looking, i wonder if they are lighter, being they have a cotton bag, your right though, they will put leather at the handals.
