Personally, I ordered it once and returned it when I read the directions on using cool water. I live in the Midwest and our winters are cold. I would not be using cool water in the winter. But, girls, Wen On! AuntieA1339047441.093519 PostsRegistered 4/26/2012SF Bay Area It's just a sad commentary that there seems to be a subset of the board population that feels the need to spew negativity, spurious arguments and insult users of a certain product. I feel it demonstrates more of the mindset of the poster than anything real about Wen. My advice...use "ignore user" to shut out the chronic negative posters. If we open our minds to enjoyment, we might find tranquil pleasures spread about us on every side. When I first came back to WEN over a year or so ago, I couldn't contain my excitement and came to this forum and started a few giddy threads . I soon found out I had a small following (stalking?) of WEN haters that thought it was their lot in life to set me straight on my cult like behavior. It was even said I work for Chaz Dean. Of course, I also use Perricone and apparently work for him, too. Gee - I'm really busy ... I've learned to stay out of most WEN bashing conversations simply based on who starts them (can we say multi nics???), it became rather obvious after a while, as to who they are and what they're about. I also love reading how WEN haters HATE this and that about WEN, yet here they are, on the WEN board/threads talking about what it is they hate, lol. I find that literally FUNNY! Then there are threads started that are very sincere, with sincere concerns by sincere posters. Those deserve responses in hopes to help. Other than that, I don't have the time for folly but I do have the time for fun ...oh wait a minute, I'm pulling double duty working for Chaz and Dr. Perricone. Do I have time for fun??? I am not a WEN user but I would never bash someone for loving a product. Obviously it works for you or you wouldn't be using it!And just because it didn't work for someone, or they didn't like it for some reason, is no reason to bash those who do like it and use it. I have always wondered why Wen lovers felt the need to defend Wen to the extreme. It's almost like it's a personal affront to them if someone doesn't like Wen. I also think it's a great idea for Wen lovers to stop bashing people who have tried Wen and have had adverse reactions to it or dislike Wen for whatever other reason. Everyone is entitled to post their opinion. kitkom1339073932.365646 PostsRegistered 10/6/2004 On 6/6/2012 yogagirl777 said: June being the WEN gallon month, it seems the WEN bashers are out in full force! And I conserve elsewhere so I can afford it. Same with the Linea ladies, but in the opposite direction. Nothing they can tell me to make me order Louis. I couldn't wear his cut when I was younger and he was in his heyday and I still can't. For the most part, I just ignore posts on those topics. (PS...Sorry Yogagirl...couldn't help myself... Blondie, you brought up one of my peeves about how some view the QVC "COMMUNITY" boards. I'm sorry, but this is a public forum. The Wenners also "come over to" the Beauty Banter forum to be extremely defensive as another poster said, about the bad experiences other posters might be sharing with each other. I don't think a forum is exclusively designated to only one side. I think everyone is free to express their opinion in a forum, whether positive or negative. You may not agree with this. Those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter. molisa1339078050.551030 PostsRegistered 8/25/2010Missouri I just think it is sad that there is a certain percentage who feel the need to bash anything. I am not a WEN user but feel no reason to bash those who are. I used to like B. Mak bags (haven't bought one in a while) and Mally, and quit commenting on those because I would immediately get attacked. I get tired of some people coming on the boards simply to attack and bash and make rude comments about how others spend their money. I used to try to reply in a reasonable, polite manner but that is not what those posters want. To those of you who use WEN and love it, I can understand being excited about the "gallon sale" every June. I would feel the same way. The best that can be done is to ignore the bashers and feel sorry for them. Anyone who is as hostile and mean-spirited as some of the posters must have very sad, lonely lives. Can you imagine? Enjoy your WEN and anything else you purchase! jerseygyrl1339079004.091977 PostsRegistered 11/6/2006 I think there's more to some of the "dislike" of Wen than just plain not liking the product if you get my drift. I'm pretty good at reading between the lines & it's painfully obvious when someone that hasn't tried the product has such an extreme dislike. It's sad that people have this mindset. Some of you will know exactly what I'm referring to and some of you won't. Good idea yogagirl! I will also try to steer clear of those folks. GoodStuff1339079157.211502 PostsRegistered 11/11/2008 While some people apparently find WEN to be the greatest thing that ever happened to their hair and post about their great results, other equally sincere posters tell of presumably true, negative experiences they've had with the product -- hair loss, scalp irritation, rashes, flaking, dry, lusterless hair, and other problems. I don't use WEN (and don't care to try it due to the high cost and the many negative comments I've seen) -- but WHY would anyone think comments on a public bulletin board should be limited to just those from enthusiastic users? The board is open to everyone, and as long as they follow community standards, anyone can post experiences or opinions. This isn't just a WEN rah-rah fan board; it's a board for people who want to talk about WEN, pro or con, good experiences or bad. Don't dismiss negative commenters as "haters". Every time someone posts here, there is an open "reply" box just below, so anyone can respond with their own comments and opinions. That's the way a public bulletin board works, folks. molisa1339079596.8571030 PostsRegistered 8/25/2010Missouri On 6/7/2012 GoodStuff said: While some people apparently find WEN to be the greatest thing that ever happened to their hair and post about their great results, other equally sincere posters tell of presumably true, negative experiences they've had with the product -- hair loss, scalp irritation, rashes, flaking, dry, lusterless hair, and other problems. GoodStuff-the minute I saw your name I knew you would have a post like this. There is a difference between saying "I don't care for that product" or "it did not work well for me" and leaving it at that vs. going on and on, name calling, or taking the stance that people who DO like a product that you do not/have not tried are stupid, spending their money in the wrong way, or wrong to like the product. It comes down to a complete lack of respect for the opinions and experiences of others. In many cases a complete lack or respect for other people on all levels. Unfortunately, some people will never understand the difference between commenting and having a different opinion and bashing. And "public bulletin board" should not translate into "I can be as rude, boorish, and hateful as I want." That does not lead to discussion, just argument. jerseygyrl1339080377.721977 PostsRegistered 11/6/2006 On 6/7/2012 GoodStuff said: While some people apparently find WEN to be the greatest thing that ever happened to their hair and post about their great results, other equally sincere posters tell of presumably true, negative experiences they've had with the product -- hair loss, scalp irritation, rashes, flaking, dry, lusterless hair, and other problems. You always make excellent points, GoodStuff. Of course people should be able to openly share their negative expereinces but at the same time if you didn't like a product, do you find it necessary to continuously post negative remarks? I don't like Ojon but I don't post about it incessantly. I don't like Dr Denese products because they make me break out but I'm not on a mission to make everybody else hate her stuff. The problem I have with some of these posters is that they are not sincere. In my eyes, some of the dislike is more character/values related than product related if you know what I mean. Is it spewing negativity to respond to a question re hair loss on wen? wen does not work for everyone. I lost alot of hair, had to go to the dermatologist, had major testing. Stopped wen, hair came back. This happened to me, it does not happen to anyone else. To the best of my knowledge I have never "spewed negativity" and "insulted users". What I don't understand, is why some wen users take it personally, when others have had bad experience with the product. The best is yet to come................ I agree, just ignore the threads you don't like. However, I think that word "bashing" is terribly over used on this board. First of all, it's a free board; if someone wants to talk trash about a host or a vendor or product; they are perfectly free to do so and there is nothing wrong with it. Second, saying something uncomplimentary about a host, vendor or product is not bashing. There are good things to say about every product and bad things about every product. I know that some people develop emotional attachements to some vendors and some products and take anything that isn't over-the-moon complimentary as an insult. And then the battle of the posts begins.... cer321339083413.7787 PostsRegistered 2/24/2012 If someone doesn't like Wen, that is OK. I have sent posts were people have stated that the product is not for them & that is fine. When I say ‘haters’ I mean the people that are constantly posting how horrible Wen is & that anyone that uses is obviously stupid or when they see someone ask a Wen question they post just buy some Shampoo/Conditioner. It’s easy to sit in front of the computer and type away on the boards. I try to only type what I would say in person. It is just as easy to polite & respectful to someone as it is to be mean & disrespectful.
