I know we don't need fragrance added to our skin care, but I actually miss having fragrance in the shampoo. Clear the mind, and clear the clutter.

CAT FAN1339007557.053614 PostsRegistered 7/19/2010 I have very sensitive skin and I have tried everything and almost all lines offered from QVC, HSN, ShopNBC, drugstore, Avon, etc. What is really working for me is the Alpha Hydrox line. I use the foaming face wash, the souffle', and the enhancing lotion (i think that is what it is called). I have a lot of redness around my nose and the Alpha Hydrox keeps it under control. It also makes my skin feel soft and my makeup has a lot more staying power when I use these products. If you decide to take a look at these products make sure to read the reviews and what skin types needs to use what products. Good luck on your search. It took me many years and lots of money.......Alpha Hydrox is what is working for me. I strayed a from it for about a month and I could not believe the negative effect it had on my face. ETA: It's affordable too! Last edited on 6/6/2012 thank you everyone for your replys i forgot to mention that i also have sun damage and uneven skin tone. I have super sensitive dry skin and rosacea, so many things set it off. I haven't had success with Paula's or Isomers. We're all so different and you just have to try things for yourself. My skin prefers the higher end lines like Estee Lauder Verite, Chanel, Dior. I've been using a line that a friend of mine recommended (it's direct sales) for about 4 months now and I love it. No irritations, does not cause redness or breakouts (my main concerns). I'll continue to use it. When we shoulder the mantle of compassion no cry goes unheard and no wound goes unhealed. I have never seen such results with any other skincare line. When hubby notices, well that's saying something. KatCat11339012585.6312046 PostsRegistered 7/21/2011 I also have sensitive skin. I use Burt's Bees Radiance eye cream; argan oil; Botanics day cream moisturizer by Boots (there is also a line for sensitive skin by Boots and Burt's Bees) plus it is more reasonable. Spending more money doesn't necessarily mean a better product. You can buy Burt's at the drugstore; Botanics at Target and argan oil at Josie Maran or Whole Foods. Good luck. I am older than you and these products have made my skin and eye area soft, radiant and hydrated. Good luck to you. I have tried boots no#7 and my skin just didn't like it I didn't know burts bee had a skin care line i have to check it out. thank you for your rpely, if i do take a chance on the isomers is shopnbc a good safe place to shop and trust and how fast is there shipping and how good are they on returns. shopnbc is perfectly safe. I've never had a problem buying from them, and returns are processed quickly. When we shoulder the mantle of compassion no cry goes unheard and no wound goes unhealed. Last edited on 6/6/2012 Naleiarenee= I have already used that it was okay but noting i can rave about i liked there face polish i purchased the i think its called the 5best of the line kite maybe i should give it time maybe i will see some results is that what you use. thank you for your reply. Some of Isomers products do contain fragrance. I am an aesthetician and I currently use Paula's Choice, Alpha Hydrox, retina, and I did by the TSV of Isomers to check out a couple of their serums. I only got it a couple of days ago and I haven't tried any yet. They are pretty pricey though and that is why I got the special because that works out to be more reasonable. I am actually very happy with PC and AH. Very reasonable and good ingredients without all the fragrance and essential oils. Some people believe you have to buy high end to see a difference but I can guarantee you they buy their ingredients the same place everyone else does. I also don't care how a lot of high end haven't stopped using jars. It is pretty well documented that retinol, antioxidants and peptides degrade quickly in jar containers. Not to even mention the hygiene factor.Different people like different formulations though. What makes me really pleased with PC is her customer service. I haven't experienced better in all my years in the beauty industry. I like that you can try samples too, but I feel comfortable with her stuff by now to just order the full size. KweenB1339020734.4631826 PostsRegistered 11/27/2010 I have acne prone skin. I'm 52. I've had success with almost all of the Dr. Denese products I've tried. Some of her products contain a lot of silicones, so if those bother you, definitely check out the ingredients before you decide to try something. Last edited on 6/6/2012 Ren does contain many ingredients that are very irritating to sensitive skin like lemon, orange oils, geranium, I could go on and on. My neice got the glycolic skin renewal mask as a freebee and used it and her face was literally burned and she had to come and see the dermatologist and get a script cream. She can take a gylcolic peel and has had one many times, it was the essential oils that burnt the heck out of her skin combined with the glycolic. Beware if you are at all sensitive. thank you for that great information about ren and isomers sounds like i may go try paulas choice and purchase maybe a sample pack. brownie9171339033658.4334511 PostsRegistered 11/19/2004Western Massachusetts Paula's Choice and Alpha Hydrox are irritant-free. Irritants are oils like lavender, eucaluptus, pepper negrum, peppermint ect....which do nothing benificial for the skin or scalp. worknmomof21339037071.247214 PostsRegistered 7/2/2008Upstate NY I love ISOMERS! Very mild but effective skin care line (and I have tried many brands from philosophy to Perricone to Origins to Clinique to Lancome etc etc etc!!) I do recommend waiting for a TSV when they have kits. That is such a great way to try several items at a good price. Good luck! sofie11339038751.45782 PostsRegistered 3/15/2009 I would have never bought a skin care line from tv, but about 15 years ago, I guess since I was an american express holder and qvc member they sent me a sample of victoria principal's sample kit and in a few days I could feel and see my skin was looking and feeling great, needless to say I then ordered the product and have been using it since then. they don't test products on animals and it doesn't irriate my skin. I know I should be on her payroll but when I feel and see results like this I just have to let others know about it. smhr1339081939.9973042 PostsRegistered 1/16/2012laid back and mellow town USA I haven't had much luck with Paula's Choice. I've invested in many of her samples for dry/sensitive skin, and ended up with a few breakouts, which seldom happens to my skin. What works for some - doesn't for others. Never used Isomers, but judging by the ingredient list, they have some ingredients not suited for sensitive skin, JMO. Good luck. I'll stick with the products in my signature. At least, I know those work. Last edited on 6/7/2012 thanks everyone for all the great information you all saved me a lot of money by not trying someting that wouldn't have worked for me. I guess i have to do some more researching on some other skin care lines that won't irritate me skin. I am slowly transitioning to Alpha Hydrox for several products, but still have a few Philosophy products that I'll stick with for awhile. I have a couple of super size items that I need to use up and then we'll see how willing I am to give them up and go totally with AH. naleiarenee1339122466.3371229 PostsRegistered 7/29/2011OhIo On 6/6/2012 skin care junkine said: Naleiarenee= I have already used that it was okay but noting i can rave about i liked there face polish i purchased the i think its called the 5best of the line kite maybe i should give it time maybe i will see some results is that what you use. thank you for your reply. Hey ,no prob ! Here's the story=I,too am a skincare junkie.I used to swear by Wei East's Silk products(for sensitive skin)....then they got discontinued...so began my search for an effective, but gentle, anti aging regimne .Ren was one of the most gentle that I tried and it did keep my skin smooth. But,I got weak when my starter kit was running low and tried a Dr.Perricone Neuropeptide kit (TSV) ... which is what I currently use, along with a few M.Asam,Josie Maran and Kate somerville things.Oh,I do use Philosophy's Micro Delivery Peel and Korres rose mask 1x per week, each. chgogirl1339122829.0572140 PostsRegistered 8/5/2007 I have sensitive skin. I tried Paula's Choice couple years ago, my skin just did not look good with her products. I have a lot of Isomers products. The ones that I like most and have not irritated my skin are Stem Genesis serum and body lotion, and Redensify for face. Redensify is also the only moisturizer that I can use from Isomers. The other moisturizers from them are too drying for my skin. HTH. On 6/6/2012 irshgrl312 said: Some of Isomers products do contain fragrance. With regard to AH - would you mind giving your professional opinion and state your favorites? I'm looking to revamp my skincare and have decided to go with AH. On Beautypedia, some of the AH products get a "sad face". LOL Thanks
