hippiegirl1579 PostsJoined 9/29/2009Seattle/Kirkland After being aware of the Magic Bullet for years now, and watching bits and pieces of the bad infomercials, I'm considering purchasing a Magic Bullet package at Costco. My husband and I are practically empty-nesters (eat a lot of meals with just us two). It seems I could get a lot of use out of this. I don't own a blender of any kind, except for a handheld mixer with beaters for baking purposes, so I've lived a long time without a typical upright blender. Anyone have any comments to share regarding a Magic Bullet? "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." Anne Frank

They're pretty descriptive! Here, check it out. Almost 300 reviews for you to browse! I think both Amazon & Costco sell at decent prices...so it'd be interesting to know. DianaFran1338568490.26710849 PostsRegistered 11/15/2004 I bought one at Costco quite a few years ago. I think it was $49. Anyway, I love it. I make great salad dressing with it, grind coffee beans, make smoothies, small amounts of guacamole, etc. It doesn't take up the kind of room that a blender takes up and comes with storage containers that have lids. Some have handles so that you can drink directly from the container you made the smoothie in. I have one,got it as a gift.I think its pretty cool and so compact.I have made salsa in a snap and guacamole.I love to make iced coffee drinks in it too.I also made the mousse they show in the infomercial and it was tasty and easy. But I also look at my bottom line. Sometimes Costco is cheaper and sometimes amazon is, so it's always good to look around. "Everything isn't black or white. I have heard that it's very easy to clean, and that is big for me. I have stayed away from many gadgets because they're so difficult to clean. Soaking things in the sink is a turnoff for me. I want to use it, clean it, and put it away. "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." For about a year now I've been staying away from bottled dressings. I like making my own and would love to whip a concoction in a MB rather than hand shake in a bottle. Would love to start making healthful breakfast smoothies, and incorporate recommended daily veggie servings into them. "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." I wish they just sold the basic blender package, I don't need all the cups and juicer attachment bits. It's fantastic for whipping cream, but there are so many other things I do with it. It comes with a small and large container that are perfect for just two people, as well as a bigger jug which I use much less often. It's absolutely my favorite kitchen gadget of all time. I couldn't do without mine. hippiegirl1338569394.2471579 PostsRegistered 9/29/2009Seattle/Kirkland On 6/1/2012 Clover29 said: We've bought several Magic Bullets from Costco. Hey, thanks for reminding me that I bought this a few years ago, put it away, and never used it. Now where can it be ????? Brinklii1338573652.58168 PostsRegistered 10/6/2004 It's great for making smoothies, but if you want to chop up vegetables...forget it!...at least in my experience, it does not have enough power for that.

Are you speaking of the Magic Bullet as even with the 350 watt version, I was never able to chop vegetables other than some onions and they were not really chopped by rather unevenly finely minced. The Pulse on the other hand has tons of power to do something as simple as chopping vegetables. hippiegirl1338577999.4531579 PostsRegistered 9/29/2009Seattle/Kirkland On 6/1/2012 4uthebest said: On 6/1/2012 Tabbychic said: It's great for making smoothies, but if you want to chop up vegetables...forget it!...at least in my experience, it does not have enough power for that. Not expecting the MB to perform miracles, and I don't want to ruin it. "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." I don't know if that means the max power it can get plugged into or the max power it shoots out....duh! It came from Bed, Bath & Beyond. I didn't know there were different versions. Mine has the 4 cups with it and the cream whipper.
Brinklii1338579278.988168 PostsRegistered 10/6/2004 I just looked it up...the Original Version 350 watts. Then they downgraded it to 250 watts. The Platinum Pro has 500 watts. I have the 250, so it doesn't have a ton of power.
