Baby Grace now only available at QVC

Started 1335893269.65 in philosophy | Last reply 1345582264.79 by wowee

This is the reply that I got from philosophy when I emailed them about possibility of discontinuing baby grace. I am sad and feel betrayed as a loyal customer of philosophy that they don't care about their long time customers and and replacing our favorites with new scents that are too strong, floral, citrus, whatever....i like the original graces....why oh why philosophy!?!?! I mean, I know right now it's available on QVC but for how long? And the s/h on QVC is not cool. Here was their reply:

thank you for contacting philosophy! we sincerely apologize for any disappointment. please know baby grace is available exclusively from qvc. they can be reached at 1.800.345.5788 or www.qvc.com. please contact them directly

please contact us at 1.800.568.3151 if you have any additional questions. we are happy to assist you by phone monday-friday, 6 a.m.-5 p.m. (mst). thank you for your interest and have a beautiful day!

I agree about the discontinuation of BG except for the Q. I am glad however, that it is not completely gone. I love BG- this is what hooked me on Philosophy to begin with, and I still wear it a lot. I sure hope QVC keeps it!!

Wow. I saw it at a PX Military Exange. I better get some. If anyone is able to shop in Military Exchanges try there. Who knows how long they will stock it though. {#emotions_dlg.crying}

I kind of saw it coming. They never offer TSV's in Baby Grace. {#emotions_dlg.glare}

Although it has been removed from the shelf from Nordstroms -- I was able to snag a bottle. They currently have a GWP ($35 qualifying purchase), It is a travel bag w/samples Purity, Microdelivery Body Wash, Miracle Worker Eye Cream, FIL Summer fragrance, FIL Shower Gel and FIL Body Emulsion. The bag is great. It comes w/2 zipper compartments and a removable Zipper compartment you can remove for airport security.

It looks like drugstore.com still has the 3-in-1 for 20% off ($17.60). You might want to stock a few.

it is sad.

i have heard the vendors mention many times that the qvc customer is the market that has kept the scent alive. a few years ago, it was almost off the market as well-but brought back by the qvc customer request. or at least so we were told during on-air presentations.

try to change and give some variety to your fragrances like light to intense so there is a choice of staying power on the body.. they fad awafully fast.. ireamin fiathful to purity and the inner grace lines.. i think hope in a jar is a great product but it is far too expensive for me to even consider now..

I happened to turn on Q last week and Dara was on and discussing the 3 in 1 -32 oz sizes and when she got to BG she made a comment that I took to mean it wasnt going to be around much longer. Did anyone else catch it?... I agree we have been told for years that BG is number one of all Graces on Q...I wont buy on Q because of the shipping...I wait for sales elsewhere with free shipg plus discount. If they decide to get rid of it its their loss. Not that they are any where close to BG..I have grown to really like Inner G and Unconditional Love. Hope you can find it and stock up{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Sephora still has the spray perfume and there are 4 products on the philosophy site. :(

The spritz has been out of stock on the philosophy site since September. I ordered a bottle the end of August and right after that it went to out of stock. Bummer! I love the Baby Grace spritz, I think it is very true to the fragrance. I just put on some of my Baby Grace lotion a couple of hours ago and I am in heaven. I haven't used it for a couple of months and I just realized how good this makes me feel. Has anyone heard anything about the July TSV? I have gotten Baby Grace the last two July TSV's and I really hope philosophy and the Q don't blow it this year by not offering it. If anyone knows or gets details on the July TSV please keep us posted. If they offered it with a spritz again I would be stock piling enough for at least a couple of years. This whole Baby Grace only going to be available at the Q is very unsettling, what is next?

Bummer! I had just decided to try the Baby Grace after years of wearing Amazing Grace. Is the a firming body emulsion that might mix with the Baby Grace. I used to mix my Amazing Grace EDP with Unconditional Love firming body emulsion and really liked the mx. Thanks!

Dara confirmed that QVC will be the sole proprietor of Baby Grace, saying that the reasoning is due to the strong cult following that Baby Grace has with the QVC shoppers. I am disappointed to hear this as well since it is so much more expensive at the Q but I am glad to hear that it isn't gone for good.

Cristina Carlino, please notice how your one time company is now being violently changed. Philosophy has lost me for good. Boycott Philosophy for changing too much people.

I was very surprised several months ago when a SR at ULTA told me they were no longer going to carry BG. She indicated it was a corporate decision. I'm guessing they didn't sell enough of it{#emotions_dlg.confused1}

Just to see if things had changed since the last post, I contacted Philosophy, and received the same answer. The entire Baby Grace line is only available on QVC. (The Philosophy website does carry the spray scent.) Disappointed, as it is my favorite scent!

thank you for contacting philosophy! at this time our baby grace fragrance line is exclusive to qvc, and is only available online at www.qvc.com.

There have been 225,000 bottles of Baby Grace sold on QVC for $62.

This equates to $13,950,000. And, this is not taking into consideration all of the other Baby Grace items (bath gel, lotion, sets).

Boggles my mind. IMO, it's only a matter of time that BG goes away all together. Very sad.

It looks like you can still get the spray fragrance at Sephora and the body lotion at drugstore.com for now, but I presume that they are just going to work through their remaining stock.

Well, people, if you can get it at QVC, why aren't you BUYING it at QVC? If you don't, QVC will drop it, too. What do all you posters have against QVC? They are the ones that introduced you to Philosophy and Baby Grace in the first place. Betrayed? No, I think the word is Accomodated. Take advantage of it.

I agree that if sales drop for Baby Grace at QVC, then it will be gone from here also. I agree with some other posters that I cannot understand why Philosophy has dropped it from their product line and replaced it with drugstore type fragrances that are too floral and strong.

I go to prepare a place for you, in my father's house are many mansions.

{#emotions_dlg.confused1} no need to get upset. i DID buy the last TSV in BG. i've never said i felt betrayed. that's a bit harsh for a fragrance. {#emotions_dlg.laugh} but to be honest, i'd prefer to buy most of my philosophy locally at nordstrom or sephora and avoid shipping charges.

i too actually have 2 auto delivery TSVs right now going in BG even if i don't really care for the shipping charges. i just worry if there is only one place to get it that it will go away completely sometime in the future especially with all the new scents coming out.

OK, well maybe betrayed is too much...whatever...i was mad at the time ok? I have a lot of memories associated with certain scents and I get personally attached to them, lol.

Don't get me wrong...i really really really do appreciate qvc for carrying BG for us fans of that fragrance though. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} It is what keeps me coming back for more!

"VIOLENTLY" changed? give me a break! Are they being held hostage with gun toting fragrance junkies? Bombs flying? VIOLENTLY? can you be anymore dramatic?
