I want to learn to sew clothing. I can make curtains and things like that, but I really want to learn to make clothing, even though I know it's not really cost effective. I need to find a class in the area and do that this summer. Name one thing you've always wanted to learn to do or one thing you did learn how to do that you're especially proud of.

Maybe next year. I also wish I could swim. She belonged to two bridge clubs until she died. When I was a little girl, I used to peek through the stairs late at night to hear the ladies talking and laughing. They always went all out with their "desserts" too, and they always dressed up! It was so much fun to watch them! Sox21334191624.644997 PostsRegistered 2/21/2009

There's so many things that have been filling my "bucket list" through the years! Probably my top 3 (that are still attainable) are: 1) Learn to play the sitar. I have been fascinated with this instrument since I was a child watching the Beatles and Ravi Shankar on Ed Sullivan. (It also sparked a life-long interest in this culture, and love of its food! Yum!) 2) Learn to play the mandolin. I did buy one a few years ago, but then a big life change came and I haven't gotten back to it. 3) Learn to play classical guitar. (I'm sensing a theme here... ) I would also like to learn more languages. I used to be fluent in 3, but I've lost the speaking ability through lack of use through the years. Although I still use written French in my job. Probably Spanish would be next. Last edited on 4/11/2012 You were born an original - don't die a copy. Learn more German than the tiny bit I know. We will be spending three weeks in a German speaking country in September. I am fluent in Spanish and get along in French. Languages are fun for me! spenditallbaby1334194296.57448 PostsRegistered 11/20/2007Surfer's Paradise and Flower Capital Grip a regulation-sized basket ball on the top with my palm down. I took a knitting course through my local CC, $49 for 8 weeks. Bring your own materials and learn at your own pace. There were beginners and folks that had been doing it for years in my class. Honestly I learned quite a bit with you tube videos. My instructor was a great knitter and maybe it was my right/left challenge issue, but watching the on line videos and replaying them over and over while the yarn was in my hands worked better than the class for the initial stitches. After I got the hang of it the class helped a great deal with the instructions on the patterns. Good luck and have fun! tdog1334201097.5931616 PostsRegistered 12/4/2007 casuallady1334201665.63950 PostsRegistered 4/25/2007 I have many things: Right now I really want to learn to use Ebay. I've always wished I could sew! Like for real, not just a quick whip stitch to fix something or close up a seam. Knitting would be tied into that. I use to speak Italian when I was younger (and my grandparents were around), so I'd love to brush up on that, but I'd have nobody in close proximity to practice with regularly.
