I'm feeling blue today. My Dad is in the hospital, (serious stuff), and I'm home sick and depressed. Sooooooooooo I'm thinking some Ripka cheer me up is in order. I know that I should wait for a sale again, and I'm going to try to hold out until there is one, but I'm thinking about this little Aspen necklace to wear casually with our new Bloomies cuff. I love this cuff next to the white ceramic watch, and I think that this is a good warm weather, light weight and light on the eyes combo. There is also a ring in this collection. Maybe I'll pick that up at the luncheon when we go with Judith to her store as a purchase to remember the event by.

BGDC, most importantly, please know that you have my prayers for your father and for safety and happiness of your entire family. Having lost my father (whom I adored) almost 4 years ago, I truly wish and pray for your father's speedy recovery.

Now to respond to your post -- are you kidding me?!?! The Aspen collection is on my wishlist -- I love the Aspen pearls (the only thing I love more than blue stones are PEARLS) and if this Aspen pendant had been in my Bloomies store when I went to purchase the cuff, I would have bought it then!!! I figure that there will be another sale either for Memorial Day or for Independence Day and I'll pick up some Aspen pieces then (under the guise of a VERY early birthday present from my 4-legged kids to me{#emotions_dlg.lol}). You, missy, are very bad for my wallet!!! {#emotions_dlg.devil2}

May you and your family have a safe holiday!

Thanks for your good wishes, and I am sorry for your loss. I'm sorry that I am busting your wallet, but that's what this forum is for - LOL. Ur my partner in crime in the blue stuff, so I must consult! Have a great holiday, and again, thank you for your kind words.

I hope you two don't mind if I jump in here!!! First, BGDC, you & your dear Father have my prayers. Its hard for me to believe that both of my parents are gone. When I was sitting in church this morning so many memories kept flooding in my mind. I will pray for a good outcome for your Dad.

2nd, those blue Aspen pieces look amazing!!!

Take care, Pepper22

Thank you Pepper. I lost my mom 18 years ago and it certainly doesn't feel like it it was so long ago. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Oh my! BGDC-

I'm sorry that you are going through some rough stuff.

I hope that your Father and your Family and You, get through all of this with flying colors! It can't be easy with you being sick to. Oh! I know that you would like to be with your Father right now! I hope you can visit him soon!

Your Father and You are in my thoughts and prayers. I will surround him with the white light of the Holy Spirit. Don't worry it's not hocus-pocus stuff! Nothing bad at all, just energy.

By the way, that Aspen Collection is beautiful! Nothing like shopping on line to keep your mind occupied! That bracelet is the Bomb! Enjoy if you get it!

So, How's that new garage door working?

Have you met or seen my friend Harvey? Harvey loves Judith Ripka and her jewelry!! He says," Judith Ripka makes me very "hoppy!"

me - thank you so much for your note. The garage door was postponed on account of it was more important for me to be at the hospital than sitting around waiting for a door. I'm afraid things are pretty sad, but any hocus pocus you can do to make the ride easier for him I'll take gladly.

The cuff is already in my possession. Merrylass and I scooped that one up during a sale last week. It is beautiful.....such a great color. I will pick up the Aspen necklace in time for sure. I got hooked on this color.

merry - I'm not really an earrings person, so I will prolly skip those, but thanks for the idea {#emotions_dlg.devil2} If I get it, I'll let you know how it is, although I think we can both already tell! I did order the baby Monaco in the white today - hey, the price is right and it should work with all of it. Somebody stop me.....................lol

BGDC, I was just thinking of you & your Dad as I was reading this thread again. I hope you will take this statement with the concern & love that I am sending along with it. Sometimes our loved ones are hanging onto life so tight because they know how much we love them & will miss them. A dear minister friend told me that it is ok to tell a loved one that it's ok to let go....that we love them & will always.

I will make my prayer say His will and let Him decide what happens.

Thinking of you!!!

Pepper-

That is so true. My Mother was dying of cancer and she was incoherent for a day. I sat down next to her and told her that I hated to see her like this and we would be ok. It was okay for her to go. No sooner than I finished. My Mom took a deep breath and opened her eyes. I thought she had woke up, but she had passed. It was very peaceful.

BGDC- I don't know if your Father is hanging on because he is concerned for his family? Or if by some miracle that this will pass and he will recover? Don't worry. I am still praying for You, Your Family and Father. I'm worried about you. This is never easy.

Enjoy your Aspen! All that goes well with the TSV Pia! Don't worry about the garage door! How are you feeling? Are you over the flu? My sister now has the flu. She lives in Orlando. That flu is on the move!!

God Bless your Father.

Ladies,

You are so sweet to be thinking of me and my father at this time. I know what you are talking about when you refer to letting go as I already lived through that with my mother many years ago. My father is not at that stage yet. He is in the hospital after having a heart attack, fighting multiple myeloma for 13 years, and they also now found a very large mass on his lung, which they are as certain as can be is malignant without doing anything invasive, which days after a heart attack wouldn't be prudent. So.........I'm in the hospital everyday with my wonderful family and we are all unified and strong. You know how it works in the hospital, they tell you things peacemeal and every day is another doctor and another test and the news seems to be going from bad to worse. My dad is 100% mentally, so I think that he still has time. It just seems to me that at his stage and in his condition any treatment would compromise what little time (months, maybe - according to dr.) he has left if it doesn't kill him. I am okay. I am not afraid for him because I know that my mother is looking over him and it will go the way she and the big cheese arrange it and he will be taken of. Life ain't easy, huh?

Me - I am back to normal, my flu was a mini - more like a bad stomach virus - 5 days. I still haven't gotten the Aspen yet. When I have some free time, I will. It sounds silly, but there's something about that little pendant necklace that I know will make me feel a little better. It's all mine!!!! Thanks again.

BGDC-

It's so nice that you are thinking positive through all of this. It's true your Mother is watching over all of you! Your parents will eventually be together again in Heaven.

Now thats beautiful.

Good Luck and Prayers to You!
