c j505 PostsJoined 9/2/2006 I want some new pieces of clothing for the spring and can't seem to find what I want. I've seen a couple on HSN that I might be interested in getting. What is the quality of their clothing? Are there any brands that you would recommend? Thanks for any help!

catprincess1333905774.871719 PostsRegistered 4/9/2007Rocky Mountains I have not ordered from HSN for a few years except for Diane Gilman. Her sizing is up & down-never 2 pieces the same. The Anthony clothing used to be very cheap & not washable! Slinky was okay-but to me alot of it looks sleazy! I don't think they have alot of what I would call everyday casual clothing! luvmypupz1333906397.314419 PostsRegistered 8/30/2010 I generally have only bought Diane Gilman and a couple of pair of Twiggy jeans. I don't like the slinky brand fabrics. I do have a couple of Libby Edelman jackets that are nice but don't know about her other items. I do get some nice Diane Gilman tops - but I would never pay the $49-$69 price tag that airs. Some of the Twiggy tops I've seen on air that looked very nice, but in person looked very cheaply made. luvmyteddy1333909272.286006 PostsRegistered 9/4/2010Land of Oz I really like Antthony and Serena Williams. Cute tops and jackets and I always buy on clearance unless they have an event price or TS. Antthony has a new top for 24.90 and it is really cute and tunic length. 95/5. It looks just like the tops they have on here only much better pricing and lower shipping rates. So happy to see Serena Williams has the TS for tonight. Nice leggings with a lace up back. I was looking for white and tan plus I got to order them before 12:00 and they had free shipping over the weekend. Can't beat that. Let me know if you suddenly become interesting. circles1333926380.8514046 PostsRegistered 5/11/2005N.J. I have to agree....years ago my sister use to send me different things she thought were cute.....I couldn't wear them....they were just so tacky....It doesn't appear the products have improved.... Daysdee1333932166.39714762 PostsRegistered 1/23/2007 I've only bought 2 or 3 items when they had Maggie Sweet. The fabric was thinner and cheaper-looking than Susan Graver's at that time. Nowdays I don't care for any of their styles on HSN and many of the prices are more than I pay for clothing. SUHSE391333933749.337929 PostsRegistered 3/13/2012 Have you thought about asking posters on their forums? I dont think their forums are nearly as active as QVC's, and they're more stringently monitored, but, you might get some helpful replies. Mel311333936806.783282 PostsRegistered 6/23/2006Crazytown, USA :) I have purchased from Serena Williams (slim jeans) and LOVE them! I have purchased denim jackets from Diane Gilman (love the fit), but the pants just don't fit me right! I have purchased accessories and jewelry from HSN (they have funkier jewelry versus the more traditional QVC jewelry). Some of the clothing is a bit loud, maybe even tacky, but I try to pick very neutral things that will go with all of the other neutrals in my wardrobe ;) I don't like all of the QVC clothing choices either, but I have been happy with Motto. THEY HELD UP VERY GOOG.I HAVE HAD THESE PIECES FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THE BLACK STAYS BLACK/IMO. IT PROBALY DEPENED ON WHAT WAS BOUGHT, ANTHONY/NOT SO MUCH BUTS THATS JUST MY OPINION! It looks so....I don't know....like really cheap, dated, synthetic, heavy fabric. I wouldn't waste my money or time on it. I try to write it well, but mostly fail. goatsrus1333942671204 PostsRegistered 1/23/2007Pinon Hills CA I have a lot of things from HSN. I am almost 60 and prefer a lady like style, not frumpy but I prefer not to show much skin or cleavage.HSN had a two piece Slinky tank and chiffon jacket set on sale for 19.99 a while back and I got all colors and they are just beautiful! I love the slinky fabric, it flows and drapes and just feels sexy on the skin.To me it is very classy. I just purchased their special the reversible jacket with a cute lavender eyelash tee top and pants set. I also have quite a few of Anthony's fashions, tops and pants, and they are just adorable and fit well. City Hearts makes some real comfy casuals and OSO fashions are fun too.I love Susan Graver as well as some other designers on QVC, but in all fashion you have to purchase what suits your style. Some of the things are just downright hideous in all brands so I just pick and choose what suits my style. I also have purchased from shop NBC and have receive some pretty cute things at low prices. I have not had to send back any pieces and I find across the board the fabrication is good. Think that was the name. I've donated all I had of that brand except for 2 items. Some were never worn. I have bought a lot of Dianne Gilman her jeans do not come up high enough in the fanny area. I wear a 1X at QVC but a 2X at HSN. Look carefully at the size charts. The quality of clothing is not even close to QVC. QVC totally supports their products and...HSN...not so much. I have had stones fall out in bracelets and rings from HSN. I can't think of any at QVC. I personally don't care for the clothing styles on HSN, but I don't work and am 65. I think you should try it, but make sure you return it in plenty of time, they, unlike QVC, will send it back. kachina6241333946310.119010 PostsRegistered 10/6/2004New Mexico On 4/8/2012 momcat said: I hate to sound tacky, but how do you get past the looks of the clothing enough to ask about the quality? How do you get hooker from lace up leggings? I guess I will look like a hooker then because I think they are adorable and ordered two pairs. I really like her clothes and have many of them. OH those two guys.. Machely Bischka, Ok I know I utterely messed that up spelling wise, but their clothes are very well made. Twiggy, no, can not say the same, very thin cheap fabric. Check out JC Penney. Look under best prices, free ship to store. They have some really nice quality items and great return policy. willdob31333970550.6375364 PostsRegistered 10/31/2010 It is just like other shopping channels & regular stores. You'll find both good & poor quality clothes, sometimes even in the same brand. You really just have to try them to see how you like them. LipstickDiva1333979435.1129244 PostsRegistered 4/22/2005On the Lake in Ohio I have a ton of clothing from HSN. I am not a hooker, don't look like a hooker and don't dress like a hooker. And I still can't figure out how a few posters know so much about hookers and how they dress. HSN has some very nice clothes and they have some duds, just like QVC or any other store on the planet. I recently purchased 2 tops from Antthony which is unusual for me because I never even look at his line to be honest but both tops are absolute winners. First of all, your observation is so funny, thanks for the laugh about hooker clothes! I agree with the underlined part as well. Antthony does have some nice items, you just kind of have to pick and chose carefully. Badgley Mischka has the same hit or miss items. The most consistent brand that works for me is Diane Gilman, I like the jeans and how they fit for my body type and if I buy on sale, its not a bad price. Her jackets and tops have all held up for me. I tried buying Serena and everything was very cheap, material, sewing. I can get way better at Wal-Mart and much cheaper! I used to like Carolyn Strauss too, good quality material when it was CS Studio. I haven't bought her line in years though so I don't know if it is even there any longer.
