Does anyone have any ideas what would be a good gift for a wedding anniversary? I will appreciate any suggestion

How many years have they been married? Approximate ages?

I believe Hallmark Cards has a list of materials given for anniversaries---silver-25th, gold-50th, paper-1st. I start there and try to buy something in that material---paper-book,....

They've been married for 41 years. Ages 60 and 59. I'm just lost. I really am. Maybe I will check into that hallmark thing. Thanks so much for ur suggestions!

What about a gift certificate to one of their favorite restaurants or a new trendy one? We've given that a lot for second marriages and they've always been well received! Smile

ETA - I try not to give a "certain amount" gift certificate! I usually go in person and talk to the restaurant staff and explain what I want. Most of the time they are accommodating, and will give a handwritten "dinner (or lunch) for two with wine" certificate. I give them the cash for the estimated amount and tell them to contact me later if there is any change. We have never been contacted later!

I would have to agree with a gift certificate. Being about the anniversary couple's ages, my hb and I have everything we need. Depending on how much you have or desire to spend, you could also include a night's stay at a nice hotel in addition to a lovely dinner. Move theatre tickets are nice if you have minimal means or if there is any kind of a "show" in your area, that would be nice.

If they're into theater arts, a gift certificate to an upcoming concert or play might be nice.

Thanks so much! Sadly, there are no theater arts facilities nearby - BUT there is a really nice restaurant within driving distance! I think you have solved my problem! Again, thank you so very much. And like twopeas said, they have EVERYTHING. That's why I was so lost. But I think they'll like dinner at this place. I don't think they've ever been yet. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Depending on their circumstances, sometimes people need some help rather than some "thing"

If either has health issues, is there something you could do or have done for them that would be of service (cleaning the house, yard clean up, light repairs, window washing or gutter cleaning because they can't get on ladders, you get the idea) We sometimes do these things even for younger people who may have reasons that they can't do something.

When all else fails, a homemade dinner delivered on a day they need it would be welcoming.

Hi...

I have the Hallmark Calendar in front of me...
It is called DATEBOOK and it is a small pocket paper calender.
You can only get them once per year at the end of the year,
for the following year...
I usually get mine at CVS at the counter for free...
But...
You have to BUG them to put them out as they are usually under the counter
or in the back room.....
Bug the manager...I usually start asking around October....

The Anniversary Gifts are in the back, starting with the 1st Anniversary....
The years go year by year but only up to the 15th then skips to the 20th...
After the 20th, they skip to every 5 years ending at the 60th...
SO, no 41st...............
40th is Ruby and 45th is Sapphire...................... Kiss

Anniversary gifts are always tough to choose. You can easily find websites that recommend gifts for each anniversary year.

Have fun!!
