Liz Claiborne Dress Lenght

Why is Liz Claiborne making their dresses above the knee length? Adult women's knees are not attractive. As much as I like Mary Beth and Linda those short dresses above their knees do not look good particularly if one wants to wear a belt to change look of outfit. Please add an inch or two to regular lengths that are 40"
